milk spurts during sex?

hi,
DD now 12 weeks old. totally breast fed- i've got quite a strong let down and it often spurts everywhere, i soak through a couple of muslin squares everyday....

now...

mainly due to practical issues (DH is sleeping in spare room) we haven't had sex yet, but I definitely want to resume normal activities soon!

can anyone who's had similar milkiness tell me if it did get all spurty during sex? i reaaly don't fancy the idea of wearing a bra and pads during proceedings.... i'm presuming there's no time of day that's better or worse?

and no, he doesn't find it a turn on!!

thanks!

I too have an enthusiastic let down, but it didn't get jiggy when we did iyswim, despite all the oxytocin going around.

Shame really as i bet there would be people would pay good money to see that!

DS2 same age, also have strong let down and spurts etc.

I fed the baby immediately before, and have had no issues.

Defintely better in the early days to feed before any intimate time!
If I thought a letdown was coming on I would just apply some firm pressure with a muslin so have something to hand.

I never squirted milk during jiggy-fun, but when mine were little I used to wear a nice bra as I found having them bounced around quite uncomfortable!!

Yup, orgasmic spurts, laying down In the bath spurts, bending over to pick something up spurts.

.........hearing another baby cry spurts.

I was a one woman irrigation system, but it stops fairly quickly when the supply has settled.

Sorry, that's not really any help.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Alouiseg I can remember the "just got out the shower, wondering if the baby needed feeding and spraying across the room" one. Quite annoying when you're all clean and suddenly you're covered in milky dribbles again!! But not during sex, well, not for me anyway.

not quite a spurt here more a dribble - hence taken to wearing a nice wired bra and as an added bonus helps to prevent black eyes! (shock-horror at the wires - but loving the nice support you just don't get from a non-wired bras for huge boobies whilst exercising!!)

yes, lots of milk during sex. XP was unusually good humoured about it, and impressed I had so much of it .

It was when it leaked on the laminate floor (nearly every room in the house when I was engorged) and got all sticky that it irritated me.

SparklyJules · 18/07/2010 23:31

Less spurty, more sort of... dribbly. But neither of us notice at the time, just afterwards. And lets face it, sex is messy, it's not the only spurty thing is it?

splashy · 18/07/2010 23:37

nipple stimulation produces oxytocin, the hormone which makes milk squirt, so that's the explanation behind this

I remember when any of my babies were napping and I'd glance at my wtch thinking they must be due to wake up soon, and just that thought popping into my head was enough to instantly soak the breast pads!

And I've caught a baby in the eye with a high pressure jet just as he was about to latch on, many a time.
