when to take them of 1year+ milk

Ok so im abit umm confused, 1st child she's 13 months now and just wondering when its good time to wean them of formula milk or whether its a good thing to put her on the + milk atall? help.

Does she eat reasonable diet?
Follow-on milk is a con in general. If very restricted eating habits, may be good for the vitamins, but otherwise, cow's milk is fine and cheap!
DOI both of mine went to cow's milk at under 12 months (I know, not quite as recommended, but were eating well and had never had formula, so couldn't find any evidence that they needed it! Both breastfed till 6 months)

both mine went on to full fat cows milk at 1 year. If you are worried about vitamins, etc then give a supplement - it would probably still work out cheaper than giving formula milk.

ok thankyou i dont know if this has anything to do with + milk but she has now developed ezma (cant spell) on her back obvioulsy a doctor issue morrow for cream but thanks and would i have to wean her on to cows milk full fat or straight on, i useless

No harm in going straight to cow's, but is much less sweet than formula, so she might not like the taste so much (you could then try mixing a bit of the formula in with some cow's milk, I guess)

I didnt do it all at once. I did 1 feed as cows milk and the other as formula. After a few days and after they seemed ok with the cows milk, I switched the other feed to cows milk too. Neither of mine seemed to notice the difference between the two milks.

I didn't use any 1yr+ milk - I just switched straight to cows milk shortly after DS turned 1.

He didn't take to it too well at first, so I gave him lots of other dairy/calcium rich foods, but he takes to it fine now.

Agree with wearymum - I always thought it was a bit of a con.
