I’ve got a bit of spare time on my hands today and tomorrow - can you recommend a good book?

Im not a fan of historical novels (although I did enjoy the Island series by Victoria Hislop) - my general go to are books set in the UK, a good family drama. I really enjoy books set at the seaside (think it’s a throw back to the famous five always being on holiday in Polzeath!)

Any recommendations?

Horse is the best book I’ve read this year

I'm currently reading The Holiday by TM Logan which is really good. My favourite book of recent years is The Swimming Pool by Louise Candlish

The swimming pool rings a bell, I do like Louise Candlish so may have read it, will check!

The whalebone theatre fits your criteria - I really enjoyed it.
