Any good spooky/horror book recommendations?

I love anything gothic/spooky and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations? Not a fan of gore or body horror; much prefer a good ghost story or mystery with supernatural elements. I love Michelle Paver’s stuff and my all time favourite book is The Woman in Black.

How about All Things Cease to Appear by Elizabeth Brundage? It’s lovely. Not gothic but hits the mark for ghosts and spookiness.

I enjoyed Bridget Collins ‘ghostly tales for winter nights’ books. I think there are three so far, and they contain lots of short stories by different authors. Some were genuinely very spooky, they were great to read in autumn/ winter especially.

I enjoyed Graham Masterton’s Patel and Pardoe series.
