Hi all. So I've got a kindle as I'm trying to cut down costs and have way too many physical books. I've got a kindle on its way. I've only realised that with amazon prime you get free books on the kindle app! Any books/kindle (free preferably) that you have read and recommend. Thanks all Smile

Check Kindle Daily Deal - 99p

Check Kindle Unlimited, can't remember how much it is but you can see if it would be worth your while

If you have Prime you get early access to some new books each month, generally that is very good

Each month there are new 99p books, it is VERY VERY addictive 😂

Enjoy!

I have the same Amazon prime, books available change regularly, I don’t buy many at all since there are enough books in genres I like. You can have up to 10 Amazon prime at a time, so just treat it like a library.

Ooh thank you! I haven't had a proper look and haven't seen the 99p books. Are there any that you would recommend to read? I just don't want to spend £10 on each book anymore as my book shelf is becoming a problem 🙈😂 at least on the kindle it doesn't make a storage problem lol

10 at a time? Oh I would only do 1 and then read until finished and then another. Is there a set limit each week/month etc?

Sign up to BookBub, which sends you an update each day of 99p deals on books you might like.

Also kindle unlimited - it's £7.99 a month and there's quite a lot on there.

Sorry I replied to you both but didn't @ you lol x

No , no limit to time except on the free monthly ones which I think disappear. You can choose two of those every month. I find it a good idea to have a full consignment available, then if you don’t get on with a book you can swap it. I only download books at home so when I am out and about I need to have options available.

I read one recently that was a collection of short stories about supernatural things. I can't remember what it was called right now but it was on kindle unlimited for free and it had sections with a doctor making notes on the stories like they were interviews she did. It was quite good. Made a difference from all the cringey werewolf erotica that gets recommended to me.

LBOCS2 · 12/01/2023 21:43

I quite like some of the werewolf erotica 😬

I have Kindle unlimited and it's a god send. I can get through a couple of books a week and if I don't like a book, I just return it for another one. Definitely worth the £7.99 a month for me, I have already run out of space for physical books and it had definitely reduced how much I spend on books as well.
