Can anyone recommend a good book on mindfulness?

Anyone read any they would recommend?
I'm looking to be more mindful and live in the moment more. I also have generalised anxiety and a therapist recommended I do some research.
Preferably something simple with not too much waffle! :)

The Williams & Penman book is a good introduction to mindfulness.

Not a book, but the ‘Calm’ app is very good.

Hi op

I'd recomend headspace - available as book, app or i think might even have bits on netflix now. Really accessible, Andy Puddicombe's voice is lovely too 😍

Very short chapters (some are less than a page) which made it really easy to digest for me!!

I just started "Peace is every step", and so far it's really nice.

Go to your local library and see if there are any self help books.

John Kabat Zinn's Mindfulness for Beginners is a good first book. Short chapters, very accessible.

But the books I return to most regularly are by Charlotte Joko Beck.

Can I recommend The Happiness Trap - it's an acceptance and commitment therapy book but I'm this model includes mindfulness and goes a step further.
