Aysgarth Prep. How good is it for girls?

Looking for feedback from current Aysgarth parents. Potentially considering a move for my daughter as she isn’t thriving at her current prep school. Would welcome any information on how girls have been integrated, are there many full boarders, what is the sport like and is there still a strong focus on CE? Thanks in advance 😀

I think that it will probably depend on which year group. I believe there are some year groups with very small numbers of girls. Have you also thought about Cundall (co ed with lots of girls) our 2 are thriving there and love it, a day school with occasional boarding, or Queen Mary's (all girls and boarding).

Oh my - when did that happen? It was somewhere we looked at as a Boys’ school several years ago.

I’m not sure how old your DD is but it might be worth looking at Ampleforth College from year seven. Our eldest started later but we were thrilled with the junior house when our youngest started in year 7.
