Tax free childcare and boarding fees

We are looking at a boarding school for DD. State boarding school, if it makes any difference. I’m reading online that you can use tax free childcare to pay for the boarding element of the fees. Does anyone know if this definitely correct? Seems like it could save me £2k per annum.

I have been paying the boarding component of my child's fees with childcare vouchers (the previous tax-free scheme). Ask the school - they will know, or can find out.
