I’m actually the grandmother and am just so impressed!
Daily FaceTime with gd/her mom/her dad.
A smiling beaming very excited gd.
She’s so happy to share the little things.
One call where she was exhausted from several ++ active days, but no tears, denies being homesick. Now day 9.
Friday she’ll be bussed home for the weekend.
Anyone else?

Similar for dc, apart from one teary night due to complete exhaustion after several excited late nights at the start and a few full on weekend activities ( including us taking them out to a wedding reception on sat which was late). It’s a small school, so they were right on it and all well the following day. feels like a little family already and the house staff are incredible.
Staying this weekend, but exeat the following week.

Hard to believe it’s the middle of week 3. For the past two days we’ve had complaints of nausea and dizziness each video call, and parts of the day spent in the sick bay…yet smiling and enjoying eating her tuck. She’ll be coming home in 48hrs for the weekend. The house matron’s email suggests this is cold and flu season (general emails each evening, which is really lovely).
