Hello All,

Do St Edwards's school in Oxford have kids who struggle academically?

Struggle is deeply subjective. It isn't a school for solely intellectual pupils they have a wide remit enter. Does it take everyone however? No.

There are other schools in the area that are more academically/intellectually demanding environment for your child.

Hope useful.

Ah! oioos7/@abitrag568u you've re-posted, not a teddy to behold 😉

Ah I saw the teddies thread yesterday. Brilliant!😀

sorry I don’t know the answer to your question.

MY understanding (from rumour mill, so take with pinch of salt) is that there is ambition for academics to improve at teddies.

not sure why you would seek to send a kid who is struggling to the school (if that is why you are asking)

what is the context?

No it would not be fair to send a child who struggles academically here. It’s a fast & furious pace & for children who want to be in an alpha/entrepreneurial/aspirational/academic/artistic/sporty environment. It’s friendly & caring with the most amazing teachers but the pace is quick. Obvs not as academic as OHS & MCS but pupils are very strong all rounders & expected to work very hard so not a good environment for anyone that struggles to keep up with the academics.
