It might sound like a silly question, but… how do boarding schools (especially six forms) prevent boys and girls “mixing” after a certain time… if you know what I mean

They only have sixth form girls and the bedrooms are on the top floor above the housemaster’s accommodation

@LiteralLunatic Marlborough is co-ed throughout.

Yes, I know, @Barbadossunset. The PP asked about the 4 mixed houses. The mixed houses only have approx 10 girls in the sixth form. The other houses are single sex.

Sorry - i misunderstood your post.

At DS's school, no child from any other house (boy or girl) is allowed above the ground floor (ground floor is common/day rooms, bedrooms upstairs). Being caught upstairs is pretty much punishable by death for all involved.

Stowe might find bugging grounds difficult! Huge!

Didn't Stowe reportedly run out of morning after pills a few years back? Or so I read- maybe tells its own story.

@DumdumSpiroSpero Ha! Didn’t know that but there’s a lot of space if you need it!

In a Grecian folly rather than behind the bike sheds....
