Marlborough College Sixth Form Admissions + Reputation

Is the sixth form difficult to get into? DD is sporty, outgoing and good academically. Participates any many extracurriculars outside of school as well.

We are international so unfamiliar with the reputation of the school. Is it an easy one to get into?

They take more girls than boys for sixth form I believe. It is not easy to get into but not impossible.

I think most of the big schools are getting a little more competitive for places.

Not an easy one to get into - none of the good schools are at 6th form. But they do take some and if she’s going to significantly add to school life in some way, perhaps elite sport or A* at A level then this definitely smooths a way in.
admissions are done a good 12 months in advance so I’d get in contact and apply. Oundle and Rugby are two alternatives with a very similar outlook and offering as Marlborough but located in the Midlands but all 3 are cut from the same mould and are excellent full boarding schools for your type of DD.
