ST ALBANS VS HABS BOYS (13+)

My son has offers from 13+ from John Lyon Habs and St albans. He is quite sporty but quite academic and enjoys extra curriculur activities. What can you tell me about the schools and which is best for an all rounder.

Don't know if your son was tutored but even if he was, to get into Habs at 13 is a big deal.
If he's naturally academic I wouldn't hesitate with Habs which also has amazing extra curricular activities.

It's an incredible education but not all kids are happy there socially.. he'll have to make a big effort at 13.

My son likes sports but also focuses on academics in a balance. Why do you think others would favour st albans? Just trying to weigh up our options and to see why some prefer habs and others st albans. The commute to habs will be harder but the coach services are quite good and st albans would be a train direct to a station near the school.
