Opinions about Shrewsbury school?

Hello everyone,

My son has offers from Cheltenham college, Shrewsbury and MCS oxford, I am from the state sector and was just wondering if anyone has sent any children there, just to see which school would be best.

I don't know MCs Oxford. We have several friends at Cheltenham and Shrewsbury. Both similarish schools. Families happy with both. Both schools have a wide academic intake and lots of sport. Shrewsbury is majority boys and from what we've heard not always great for girls boarding. Cheltenham girls anecdotes sound more promising.

My son and daughter went to Shrewsbury for 6th form full boarding having been day pupils at our local school 200 miles away. They pushed to go and both loved it - landed in good Houses with brilliant Housemasters. Can't fault the school at all. PM if any questions.
