Using a Dr in school holidays when you have registered them at school.

I am posting here to find out if there is a way to get my child a prescription over the school holidays. The medical records are all signed over to the school doctor so that anything on their premises can be dealt with immediately but obviously that means that we don't have a place at home while holidays are in progress (different part of the country). What do you do in these situations?
Thank you.

Ring 111.

you can contact the surgery where your child is registered which would be easier if you just need a repeat prescription rather than re registering them anywhere else.

You can register temporarily at home gp.

You can use a local GP as a visitor.

You can ask your local surgery for child to be seen as a Temporary Resident over the holidays. They can access recent repeat medication from the NHS Spine, so you'll know they're getting the same as regularly prescribed.
Records of what treatment they give will be sent to the schools GP when the Temp Residency ends (they set it up either as 2 weeks or 3 months), and the school GP will also see recent prescriptions on the Spine on the same way.

Thank you - I will go up and register as a temporary visitor later today.

I only realised when I went to the surgery and asked to see their records on my app that it had all moved and I would need to get permission by form from the school Dr to see it on there. I know they'd tell me if anything had been prescribed but I want to see blood test results from last year for e.g.

Thank you for all of your help.
