Head lice

Hello, can anyone recommend what they have found to be the best headlice treatment for Afro hair? Also any tips in general for how to keep the lice away too would be great!

We used Hedrin, the trick it to be thorough with the combing. Long tooth metal - nitty gritty not the short ones.

Smother with Hedrin, it is expensive, but don't scrimp.

Nit comb.

Then smother with neat conditioner over the Hedrin

Nit comb again

Rinse

Then repeat 3 days later with just conditioner

then 3 days again after that.

No tips on how to avoid. We were very lucky only two infestations during the whole time at school.
