Bullied racist abuse

Black female 34 dance teacher works in school loved in my flat almost a year and a half. May the most disgusting humans moved in bellow me. Drugs music police banging racist singing to song playing Rastafarian music singing n word etc which I know is to annoy me.

aug 29 I shouted shut the f up to ibiza music at 8am and by 8:25 the police came out. After I told them shut up I was called a rat what am I going to do etc - all recorded but nothing from police

today 6pm I’m sweeping my bedroom in silence and was greated to the most horrendous banging to my floor so I record myself sweeping.

I was called the n word a c word told to open the door - all recorded he then called his sister to intimidate me she then showed up while I was on phone to the police

instead of calling back up I called the police
explained all and that sister had been called he’s trying to get in my house and called me a n word I was told they will call me back.

almost 12am on night nothing from police still banging loud music surely this is not right? Tried to post the recording but unsure how? Never called the police before but wow! Cannot believe no call back no nothing

I'm white- I hope it's ok just to post in solidarity, that sounds incredibly scary. 💐Do you have any family or friends nearby who could come to support you until the police come?

As well as reporting the noise I wonder if it might help to get advice from the ‘hate crime’ support services in your area.

Yeah I actually called the police direct and then sent a email/follow up explaining I called to be safe but yeah nothing

sorry didn’t read it all but I’m assuming the police aren’t coming, this was 6pm no call nothing the party and banging carried on can just hear laughing now

Are the other residents council or private?

If council, then report them to the council tomorrow morning. Ask for the "community trigger".

If private, contact their landlord.

I would start a diary of the behaviour and get a video doorbell fitted. Make sure your door is secure. I would stop challenging them incase the abuse escalates. Please keep yourself safe.

I'm not surprised you're in shock. A cup of hot sweet tea might help. You could also contact the council regarding the noise.

We are both council. I only just got a move a year and a half ago resulting in me taking them (council to small claims) this fight went on 10 years they only moved me after I had surgery long story short joining house next door 1 single bed flat she had 28 cats in her flat but used the joining cupboards for them to stay/ next to my bedroom. I breathed in that much cat urine and gas that my nose built a barrier wall leaving me with no smell or taste an I had to have surgery. I get that everyone loves cats but I explained to the council the smell was making me unwell and yeah I had to have emergency move (alone) ovb I didn’t want to take any contaminated items - they (council) offerd me £150
for 10
years of ignored complaints untill I was out of surgery!!
council told them of my complaints and they made my life hell so as you can imagine I just wanted a quiet life not diary’s and having prove myself yet again!

This is a 6 second screen recording of your recording page, that's it, there's barely any audio, certainty no shouting, banging or racial abuse. You didn't actually post the full recording, you also don't need to.

You need to give the full recording to the police so they can decide if it warrens a hate crime, harassment or any other criminal offence.

That's horrible your council were so u helpful w the severe cat issues before. Sounds like the best option would be hate crime support, as Scrolling said. I really hope you can get the issue sorted so you can feel safe as you have a right to. Stay strong.

Ahh grace honestly I get what you meant. Ino you wasn’t calling me names, just been a long evening and I’m unsure if I’m coming across well and explaining was kinda just trying to get out as much information as possible. I am going down council route tomorrow as I cannot live like this!

That's fine, OP, I totally get it's hard to wrote when you're in this horrendous situation. I read your previous MN thread & it's unbelievable what your neighbours have put you through. The council must do something. You're being really brave.

I'm sorry for this. I have also lived underneath neighbours from hell. You need to write to your local authority, copying in the chief exec and the director of housing and do not give up. Add the crime reference numbers and demand a move elsewhere. This is a hate crime and should be treated as such. Good luck.
