Moving to Beckenham - school advice

Hi loves,
As the title says, I'm moving to Beckenham soon and am looking at moving my DS to a new private school. He will be joining in Year 9.
I've got no clue about the area, so would like some insights into where I should be considering?
Good facilities and ethos. Preferably diverse in nature (my son is biracial), although that shouldn't be too much of an ask in South London.
Travel time to school should ideally be under an hour from Beckenham (30mins or less would be great) by public transport.
Train or bus are fine, but preferably no changing on route.

Beckenham itself is a bit of a dead spot for secondary. Bonus pastor in downham is still rated outstanding, catholic. You don't want Sedgehill. Possibly Harris academy.

Dulwich College, Alleyns, Eltham college , St Christopher in Beckenham is a Catholic boys school.

Eltham is great for drama and music

I said 2026 above, but for some reason the post formatted weirdly.

When would you recommend scoping out availability for September 2026?

Ignore me, didn't see you said private. Need to wear my glasses...

Dulwich, Eltham, Bishop Challoner.

St Christopher's is a girls primary.

There are school buses, which part of Beckenham are you moving to. You need to go to the open days but my family flourished at Eltham,

Dulwich College, Dulwich Prep & Seniors (formerly Dulwich Prep London) or Eltham College.

I'm a bit late to this but Trinity School is excellent and prides itself in diversity. Also reasonably accessible from Beckenham.
