Haircare recommendations for mixed baby

If you have mixed kids/kids with a looser curl, what products did you use when they were babies? And at what age did you start?

My baby is six and a bit months old and has a LOT of hair. Mostly 3a curls. I’ve not been using any product in them (apart from a bit of coconut oil) and said curls are starting to get a bit harder to manage, as her hair gets longer.

I have standard Naija 4b/c hair, and I’m guessing my hair products wouldn’t be appropriate (and might be too harsh? I mostly use Shea moisture and Cantu products). All the kids in my family have hair like me, so my sisters aren’t much help.

There’s lots of ‘mixed kids’ type products available, but uncertain if any of them are any good, or if it’s just marketing nonsense. Your recommendations would be most helpful!

I would stick to natural oils for as long as possible and perhaps use a very small amount of a simple hair moisturising cream. If her hair is long enough to plait, I would do that to manage.

Hello OP, I use a little rosemary and jojoba oil and afrocenchix moisturiser. I wash and condition hair with child's farm curly hair brand. I try to keep his hair in plaits a lot of the time.
