When I think of how scared poor Emmett was in the final hours of his life and the grief Mamie went through when she heard what happened to her little boy - I cannot imagine the strength that Mamie showed to offer her son up to the world to see so they would see the evil. And now the woman is gone - she did not see justice in this world. But now they can finally rest.

Till's story is too upsetting. I find myself looking at 14 year olds and thinking they're just children 😢
Now that the woman has died, it feels like the end of an era, a very disappointing but somewhat inevitable end.
