Condolences to the family. I have spent the last few days in disbelief- I am devastated that someone can do this to any human being let along 2 babies with their mother in their own home. The suspect is a known racist but Notts police refuse to align the murders to racism.

Heartbreaking. The photos of her and her girls were so beautiful.

I wondered if it was a racist incident once I'd read her husband was out of the country (my first reaction was that it was probably her partner/ex partner).

When I heard the story I assumed it was an angry ex. But her husband who she was in a relationship with was away? I wonder if he owed someone money? They wanted to punish him? Mistaken identity? Whatever it was didn't deserve that.

Horrific story. I wonder if the fire alarms had stopped working in the house. The poor husband

It's heartbreaking. This story is oddly focused on him rather than the victims though?

Poor family.

No they have charged a neighbour who is a known racist. The papers are not putting his face out there but it is all over Twitter. Horrific. Her husband must be broken. He was working in the US and sorting Visas for them as they were ready to move there to join him. 🥲🙏🏾

I wondered if this was racially motivated. Heartbreaking.

This has made me so mad, as has the lack of coverage. I only found out about this case through your post. I’m so very sorry for her family and I hope that justice is served.

This has been in the news in Notts where I live but I have also heard it mentioned on BBC radio and also on GMB yesterday when the person was charged. So sad and horrifying. Sad

If this was a racially motivated murder, then it has not been widely reported as such, which is strange. I was wondering if it was as well. I cannot express how I feel about it. It is too much to think that a family could be murdered like that, due to hate.

@LadyKenya
The mainstream press are not reporting it as that and neither apparently are the police , however Twitter users have commented on his Facebook profile which indicates otherwise. I guess Notts Police know why they are sticking to this line and it I'll all come out at court.

Yes the truth will come out at the trial. I wish the husband, Aboubacarr Drammeh strength, and some comfort as he deals with this horrendous situation. Let us hope that the justice system will deliver a worthy sentence. I will not waste any emotional energy on thinking about the perpetrator. Racism is a cancer that corrodes. We must continue to fight against it.

The police (and CPS) probably want to ensure his conviction is safe, so he can't appeal, and he gets a life sentence.

Yes that's a good point! I will now do the same.

Absolutely! Do not say his name. Starve him of the oxygen of publicity.
