Mixed race kids books

We are a mixed race family. My 1 year old loves reading but I am struggling to find books that represent them and our family. We use the local library a lot and the books all seem to only feature white families.

Can anyone recommend any books that feature mixed race families or even just black families?

For older children but the Land of Roar books have mixed race children as the main characters

This is a lovely book, if you’re looking for something seasonal.

I find spck carry a good range of texts for a small company. Not all are Christian ( which may or may not appeal depending on your family).

Did you try the handa books as recommended upthread? They have some lovely non fiction books from the same author- I know one is based on fruits.

Best place to look is Waterstones. I am a household of dual heritage. Waterstones have loads of children's books that represents skin tones... hair love is one of them.

Ellie’s Magic Wellies. My toddler loves it.

Anna Hibiscus by Atinuke is a lovely series of chapter books. They are like mixed race Milly Molly Mandy stories, absolutely delightful and there's a whole series.

Look Up is about a little girl who wants to be an astronaut.
