Now that the sun is out I feel like I need to up my game with body lotion. I currently use Body Butters from the Body Shop and they're pretty good but my shins still feel a bit dry. What do you use to get proper glowing skin? I'm not confident about going down the route of mixing up my own ingredients

We 🦎 need to stick together! A relative is a dermatologist and he gave me some cream - I’ll need to check the label and get back (it was in the states though so I can’t guarantee it’s available here).

We find this works well. They do various types so make sure is the Shea Utter one.

Fractionated coconut oil has been a game changer. Use it in hair, scalp, face, body, feet. Absorbs beautifully as well.

Aquaphor (maker Eucerin) - I think it’s actually for the type of things you’d use Vaseline for (chapter or cracked skin, grazes etc) but, by gum, it is very good for dry feet!

Ashyfeet has entered the building!

The only thing that works all day, a good soak and petroleum jelly applied on wet/ damp feet. Other oils work but they will need reapplication especially in the summer months when wearing sandals. Towel dry to remove excess grease.

@Ju11tne

My mum used it for me as a child it seems the exact same. Also coco butter the hard one in the tub do they still sell it like that? I've not come across that in years!

Yes they do! You can only really get the big tub in Black hair shops, however I've seen the little tub being sold in Boots recently.

And you know what’s good for hands? Slaver on the thickest cream you can find, don some rubber gloves and do the dishes in warm water.

I get a patch of dry, scaly skin on my scalp - about the size of a 50p. And on the winter a smaller one on my hairline - both always in the same place! Scalp is a bugger as coconut oil is horrible to get out.
