Just read about Dr Obeng's charitable effort, Restore Foundation, and I will be making my contributions.

Please share any other charitable outfit that supports black people here, no matter how big or small.

Thanks!

Great idea!

Off the top of my head, there's Black Minds Matter UK - access to therapy for black people
Black Cultural Archives - black history education
Exist Loudly Fund - supports black LGBT youth
Money4You - financial education

@Sugarintheplum , two educational ones of the top of my head:

The Kinship Bursary (www.kinshipbursary.co.uk) for girls.
The Amos Bursary (www.amosbursary.org.uk) for boys.

The Amos Bursary offers awesome scholarships, mentorship and experiences for a select number of high potential Black teenagers through to their early twenties - run by Baroness and Colleen Amos. They also run a wider, less intense programme for hundreds giving them skills training and a network of opportunities.

Until this year they were dedicated to helping Black boys. This year, they are taking girls for the first time.

This is a group ( it’s quite small) I’ve come across through work. It does provide information and has a benevolent fund.

Its a sunday social centre for migrants.
They generally do well but really came through for black migrant families from africa and Carribean during covid, who struggled to feed their families, qualify for school meals and access devices for home schooling.
You can steer your donation to specific issues.

I ended up with a small amount of money spare this month, and was looking for a good place to use it. I decided on this one. Hope you don't mind me dropping this in here.
