CONGRATULATIONS Ladyem!! So pleased your birth was uncomplicated and that you're now home.

Gorgeous name btw, but I may just be a little bit biased

Well since the first two births have been to 'Lady's, I'm hoping this gets things started

detoxdiva · 23/08/2009 07:58

Congratulations LadyEm - great story and glad you are all well

Here's to more lovely arrivals soon.....

Well the birth pool is arriving this morning - eeeek. Seems all real now....

BabyLady · 23/08/2009 08:05

Congratulations Ladyem!! Fab news and glad it went so well.

Must say I am quite jealous. At 39+ 4 I feel like the baby should be arrving any time soon. Guess I might be late!

The baby has, so far, hung on as my Mum arrives from NZ tomorrow. Then we are on the countdown for 3 weeks. I realy want my Mum here for as mnuch as the after bit as possible.

Had a long walk yesterday, after which I was completely knackered, followed by a spicy burrito. Even had a curry on Friday night. Come on baby....

TrixieBelden · 23/08/2009 09:28

Ladyem what fantastic news!! Well done, you!

Gonnabamumma · 23/08/2009 10:02

!! DH fixed my blue screen problem and the first thing I read is LadyEm's birth announcement! Congratulations!

Good to be back, have not even managed to lurk! Blue screen down to cookies apparently.

Agreed on the '1st Sept and after'!

Sorry to those who are not feeling great, my books tell of a mysterious energy burst in the last few weeks.....none here, SPD horrible, bump sore, nipples feel like someone is stabbing tiny pins in them ....

Went to look round the Birthing Centre today, was a wake up call for sure 37 weeks today!

Right, off to catch up properly....

Neddie · 24/08/2009 08:22

Hi all
Congrats Ladyem and what a lovely name.
I am off this morning to see consultant before my CS on Thursday.
Hope all are well and not to sickly.

TigerFeet · 24/08/2009 09:12

Congratulations LadyEm and welcome Joseph. It all sounds very straightforward... I hope we all end up with similar stories!

I have a clingy 5yo but she's always been a bit that way inclined tbh. We've just been away for the weekend, we never managed a holiday this year due to one thing and another so at least now she's had some fun at the seaside to tell her friends about when she goes back to school. We had a great weekend, hips were sore but it was manageable.

Oh Neddie how exciting! I wonder if there will be any more babies this week?

audreyraines · 24/08/2009 09:33

hi everyone.

i've been having quick cramps quite often the last 36 hours. not particularly painful. i'm just curious if they mean anything. anyone else having cramping?

we had the most gorgeous picnic dinner last night in the park. it's great to eat and for ds to run around until he was exhausted and fell into bed when we got home.

midwife coming this afternoon so will quiz her on the likelihood of labour sometime this week!

LizLemon · 24/08/2009 10:06

Morning everyone!

I've had a few cramps this weekend - a bit like normal period pains, fairly low down. I'm hoping since I'm only 36+3 that it's just like the stretching in the first trimester (that went on for me for about 3 weeks, so maybe I'm just susceptible). Seeing my midwife this week so I'll ask about it too, but let us know what yours says audrey!

had a mysterious burst of energy this weekend if you count filling up a virtual shopping basket at mothercare energetic. Went through all the clothes I've been sent/given so far and realised there wasn't a single newborn bodysuit among them

question for second timers: We've got a crib upstairs obviously, but do we really need a moses basket or something to put him in when we're downstairs? What do we do with him otherwise? Don't want to spend money unnecessarily but can't imagine that we have to hold onto him continuously. Does that seem like the daftest new mum question ever?
