Hello Mums !
I am french and having my first baby in London. Not a big deal but sometimes it is really useful to talk to other expat mums. That's why I start this thread. Anyone is welcome to join in...foreign mums in the UK, or british mums abroad, and of course any other if you wish to help our little souls...

I am 29, and 30 weeks pregnant. My little girl will be named Romane.

speak to you soon !

Nubia - i had my 1st at the whittington and to be honest it was ok. Just remember to be very assertive with the midwives.

Hello, I'm Belgian, 25 weeks pregnant with my first baby and in London! I'm currently at the Whittington but have a first appointment at UCLH next week.
I haven't been very happy at the Whittington until now (even been shouted at by a midwife because I had forgotten my yellow book at my second appointment. She asked me what kind of mother I will be and if I could understand what she was saying!) so will check UCLH out...
I suppose it is also a question of luck as some of the midwives at the Whittington are lovely.

Nubiana, I would recommend Queen Charlotte. I am American and generally don't have many kind words for the NHS organisation (this is not directed at the individuals who make up the organisation, but aqt the organisation as a whole), but I thought QC was fab. Had DS there by planned section 4 years ago.
