Birth certificate space 17 error

Please help!! I recently changed DD's middle name. I was on the phone with my DH. He misheard the name, and out of four letters, three were incorrectly inserted on Splace 17—a completely different name. Any advice? I am completely devastated.

Contact the birth certificate office and have it adjusted to the correct spelling?? They are usually very helpful

Contact them and change it. I don't know what you want on here? This is something you just fix, problem (easily) solved.

I called, they will not be able to change it. I have to apply GRO and pay, which does not guarantee that the correction will be authorised. it is not that easy...
