I found out about 4 days ago that I'm pregnant and will be due in July next year.
Is anyone else in the July 2025 birth club?

Hi, I have my first appointment next week. I will be around 7/8 weeks pregnant.

I’m due 19th July, not had much sickness but the nausea is unreal

If it's your booking in appointment you will go through your medical history plus baby's dads history and any previous pregnancies/loses if you have had any. You usually get weighed measured and have blood pressure taken sometimes a carbon monoxide reading. A blood test often to check for certain things. They will talk about screening for 12 week scan and which hospital you would like to be booked at plus the type of birth you are hoping for remember this is not set in stone. That's pretty much it they sometimes do a screening of your mental health aswell for a baseline but not always its not scary and it's First chance to meet your community midwife you may get your notes or set up on a digital system depending on your trust you can ask any questions too.

Hi I just received a call off midwives, they said they currently reviewing my urine sample taken on the 13th December. They want me toke come in Monday to re-take a urine sample.

I'm getting a bit worried why they are requesting for another sample? Has anyone ever experienced this?

I did give a blood sample on 13th December too but they didn't ask me to retake blood sample.

So far so good thank you, how about yourself? I’ve mostly been more deeply tired than usual, and have felt nauseous but not been physically ill. I feel lucky 😅 Belvita biscuits and orange Fanta have been getting me through the mornings.

How did the appointment go? I found it all went smoothly and should get blood results in Jan.

Same here! I’ve been feeling sick so much but not actually been sick yet. I never usually eat breakfast but have taken to eating Belvita biscuits in the morning to calm the nausea and it seems to do the trick.

I had my appointment on the 16th but no call back to retake anything. My brain instantly went to “I wonder if they accidentally spilled it” 😯hope it’s something innocuous like that.

Yeah I hope so, it's very scary when you get called up to retake a sample.

I ended up in hospital for almost a week due to sickness I couldn't even keep water down so I'm now on antisickness tablets but feeling better on them.
I had a scan in hospital and baby is ok it's definitely not twins (phew) they were wondering due to the sickness got a scan on NYE and them my anomaly scan is 8th January but I should be 13weeks by then

Hi, yes I retook the test and been given a result of "mixed growth" and will be prescribed antibiotics?

I have been vomiting every time I have bit of food and is getting annoying.

Yes this is My first pregnancy :)

How did your retest go!

I had a call yesterday and a UTI has been flagged from mine 2 and a half weeks ago, weeks course of antibiotics and cannot stop worrying for the life of me.

This is our little miracle and it's been an awful journey to get here 😩

Just wanted to reach out incase you're in the same boat. The midwife said it's super common! x

UTI in pregnancy is really common but just be aware of symptoms and get checked out as treatment is important. Antibiotics will sort it out!
Watch the sickness i was told food is less important but fluid is really important small sips through a straw was better than big gulps for me. However if it's not improving speak to midwife don't suffer needlessly.
Are we all approaching the second trimester? I have my official dating scan on Wednesday last week baby was OK but not playing ball and wouldn't give us a side view so was difficult to measure properly but I'll be heading into week 13 next week definitely!
I have a 13Yr old son and 2 angel baby boys so this is my 4th pregnancy.

I have my scan on Monday and really looking forward to it. I’ve had to abandon most of my jeans already, and have packed some of my clothes up for the loft.

Has anyone else noticed colostrum coming through already yet? I noticed it a week or so ago but it’s more obvious this week - I’m in week 11 and can’t really find any information on it.

Has anyone began to tell their workplaces yet? I'm 14 weeks this week and starting to think about it over the next few weeks I think 🙈 I'm so nervous!

I told my boss just after Christmas, and then the rest of work this week. They’re all really happy for me and keep telling me off when I go to lift anything 😂

I told work when I came back in January! They were very happy and have started drawing up a risk assessment for me, especially being a teacher etc

How is everyone getting along? We're half way or nearly half way there now which is madness!!

Getting on well! My family were completely convinced we are having a boy for some reason - we had a scan at 16 weeks and sonographer confirmed we’re having a girl 🙂 we have our anomaly scan next week and so far baby is active and growing well 🧡 how are you?
