It seems we conceived on new year's day! And due on the 23rd September ( well will know more on 12 week scan) any others due around this time? It's still not properly sunk in, I keep thinking my period is still on it's way. Done 2 pregnancy tests and both went positive in seconds, more boobs are sore, I'm definitely nauseous so I know I am, it's just not sinking in. Its happy news though, just hard to keep shhhh for now (apart from me and DH)

@Mustrryharder @Haz1516 we are due date buddies!!!!

Lilice · 19/01/2020 11:03

I know it's still early days but who's going to find out the sex and who wants to keep it a surprise??

UrsulaSings · 19/01/2020 11:13

I'm due somewhere between 10th & 16th I think and currently 6 weeks. Thinking of having an early scan in week 9. Midwife appointment booked for week 8 kn 4th Feb. Think its finally starting to sink in! Hope it all goes ok... avoiding all the scary stories about miscarraige!

Chanel05 · 19/01/2020 13:07

@MamaB80 I'm trying to chill out throughout the day but last night I had a nightmare about having a scan and being told about another mmc. I need to sort my anxiety I think.

@Lilice dh and I are going to find out the sex either at 10-12 weeks with a harmony test or 16 weeks during a private scan. Are you going to find out?

MamaB80 · 19/01/2020 13:57

@Chanel05 Poor you, I hope you can relax a bit. Have you got an early scan booked? 9 days until mine so am trying to keep busy until then!

@Lilice yes, we'll be finding out the sex. With my son, I was absolutely 100% convinced that I was having a girl so I'm glad we did find out while I was pregnant. It's not for everone but I loved knowing!

@UrsulaSings Re miscarriage stories - stay positive! Just because it happens to others it doesnt mean it will happen to you. Sadly for some of us it has been part of our story. Wishing you a wonderful pregnancy, my first certainly was and resulted in my now 3.5 years old son!

Chanel05 · 19/01/2020 14:10

@MamaB80 how far along will you be when you have your scan? I don't think we're going to have an early one this time. I had one at 6 weeks in my last pregnancy and saw a heartbeat and then in my next scan the heart had stopped so I don't think it will offer me any reassurance to have an early one.

Anniepole · 19/01/2020 14:45

@Lilice I think we are going to keep it a surprise what about you?

MamaB80 · 19/01/2020 15:08

Hi @chanel05 my dates are a bit funny. According to first day of last period I’ll be 7 weeks. However we only did the deed once in that cycle - and even that was in a rush as I was going away for a few nights and we thought we’d miss the window! – so according to date of conception I’ll be 7w and 6d or thereabouts. Will be interesting to see how many weeks/days they say once we’ve had the scan (all else going well). I totally understand your reluctance to do one but I think it’ll reassure me for now. Whatever gets us through, right? We then plan on having the Harmony test at 10 weeks so hopefully won’t have to wait too much longer for that after the first scan.
Are you experiencing any symptoms?

MamaB80 · 19/01/2020 15:19

@Chanel05 I should add re symptoms, I had none during my first pregnancy which was successful. No morning sickness, no tender breasts, not heightened sense of smell, nothing! So don't read anything into whether you have them or not.
Sending you my best positive vibes and I'm willing and wishing these next few weeks to pass quickly for us! X

Chanel05 · 19/01/2020 15:47

@MamaB80 Wow well they say it only takes the one time! It was obviously meant to be for you on the frantic dtd occasion that you conceived 🙂. I like the idea of the harmony test too. I think we will get it but maybe after 12 weeks.

I have nausea so far, slightly sore breasts and tmi constipated even though I'm drinking loads of water. Do you have any symptoms?

IMnotCRAZYmyMUMhadMEtested · 19/01/2020 16:48

Has any one had one of them private gender scan at 16 weeks, we are wanting to that and then have it a surprise for all of us and let my fabulous cake make do us a reveal cake..going to give her the envelope so only she and the nurse know !!! Until we cut in to the cake a few days later. I keep worrying that I've jinxed us by letting close family know already, and me and DH discussing names and prams etc..plus my nausea has worn off !! After a few days, so trying not to stress about it

@MamaB80 @chanel05 im going to do the harmony test too. A place near me do a package where you get the blood test plus a scan so I'll book that for when im ten weeks, I cant wait!! It's so expensive though...
@Anniepole I'm going to keep it a surprise this time.
@IMnotCRAZYmyMUMhadMEtested your plan sounds class! When would you do the reveal?

Lilice · 19/01/2020 19:30

I have to admit I've already been thinking of names too 😂😂😂 and even started a shortlist. Im way too excited!

IMnotCRAZYmyMUMhadMEtested · 20/01/2020 10:38

@lilice if my calculations are right it could be 1st week in April, still waiting to hear from midwife yet for first appointment. Yeah we have been making lists since Friday we had loads but now we have 6 boy names and 4 girl names so far in our yes list, and crossed off about 40 definite nos and a few maybes. We already have 2 DDs a Teigan and an Ava-Mae ( ava wasn't popular at all when I had her now it's too common) so we want names nothing like them 2 or anything too popular. So far the names we love aren't popular and I never thought DH would like them never mind love the names.

Hope everyone is doing well.

@@IMnotCRAZYmyMUMhadMEtested well done on looking at names! I've not thought that far ahead this time, primarily because it was so difficult to agree on one with our DS! Think I might wait until after finding out the sex and then we onlt have to agree on one!

@Chanel05 how are you doing? Hope you are feeling a little less anxious now? Re symptoms, I'm unbelievably tired. More tired than I've ever been. I could say sore breasts but I'm not sure if that's because I keep prodding then to check! But no other symptoms.

We have our viability scan on Tuesday afternoon. Can't believe it's almost here. Scared, nervous, terrified, excited.

Anyone else booked in for an early scan?
