See what you mean Ellie, but probably just new/waiting mummy stress. I've had a few problems with the size of some of the pics though, so if anyone is on dial-up, it could be a problem?

You're doing a great job with the email updates - thanks!

EllieKthePA · 05/05/2007 12:17

thank you bramshott, i think it's just me being daft

so can you all remove her from the list please x

claricebean · 05/05/2007 12:36

Congratulations emmymummy - love the name Sophie Rose. Glad you got your home birth

mammyjo · 05/05/2007 12:48

Hooray and congratulations to Emmymummy!!! Beautiful name too, its amazing but all the names we have given to our babies are so lovely, havent disliked any of them. Obviously March/April/May mummies have damn good taste! (Included March too as I was in the early camp)!!

CaptainDippy · 05/05/2007 13:27

I agree mammyjo - we're such Yummy Muumies obviously!!

Right, need to pack up a million things and get off to the Railway ....

MW visit was fine - Phoebe is now 7lb 3oz, so has dropped a bit, but nothing dramatic. I got her to inspect a little flap of skin I have hanging down from my Labia and she said that it'll get less sore, but will always be there now .... could have been prevented by popping in a little stich after the bith. Oh well - it was worth it and we are all fine and healthy - that is the main thing!!

You know, we have actually had v.few inductions on this thread considering how many births we've celebrated!!

Emmymummy · 05/05/2007 14:37

hello just popping in v quickly to let you know all is ok here. sophie is a complete milk monster, don't think she's stopped sucking since i had her. having her at home was fab - am tucked up in bed now, great not having to drive anywhere.

labour was f'ing painful - just tens and a bit of g+a - pushing bit went on forever - ouch......she had her hand up next to her face, plus she's quite a big girl at 8lb 10oz. never again!!! still, managed with no stitches, so doing it more slowly was worth it in the end. emily loves her new little sister and has been totally brilliant and has taken it all in her stride.

no doubt will be on again in the wee small hours when this one refuses to sleep.

Big congratulations to GMM on Charlie and Emmymummy on Sophie Rose. Am so glad you got your homebirth!

I am still waiting... not very patiently I might add!! But mw came round this morning to do sweep and book me in for induction - good news is she was able to do the sweep, I am apparently 1-2cm dilated, she could feel a small bag of waters which she thinks could go any time now and set off the contractions. She couldn't get me booked in until Friday for induction but also said she would be very surprised if I still needed to be induced by Friday... so now I am just waiting...

Will give dh a crash course in how to work mn and get him to post the news as soon as we have some...

Labour vibes to Heidle and GK if you're not already holding precious babies!

Hugs to everyone and thank you for the labour vibes, wish I'd logged on sooner today as has cheered me up to no end

Hi everyone - hope to see you ALL soon on the post natal threads.

My labour was not very short - I began to feel labour pains at 2 am on Wed night/ Thursday morning, just as I was going to try and get some sleep, and it took 26.5 hours. My legs are still shaking and I feel rather exhausted, but some bits of my postnatal 37 hours in hospital really really dragged. I've nothing but praise for the Whittington's midwives, they really work so hard, but their workplace is a madhouse!

Hope to catch up a bit more eventually, Ellie, how have you managed to post so much since giving birth and with one child already about?

Take care all

Labour vibes to those still waiting, thanks to all of those who helped me survive those last few days and the fear.

Luci

Emmymummy · 06/05/2007 10:04

Morning all...thanks for your kind words about Sophie. She's un-skrunched a bit now and we've decided she looks very much like Emily did when she was born (albeit 2 lb 2oz heavier!). Had a bit of a knackering night, on & off boob, only settling when being held etc., but she's delicious so we don't mind (might not be saying that in a few days time ).

Am feeling a bit less like I've been hit by a truck today, Sophie is asleep on my lap and just waiting for the MW to pop round. All good though and very pleased to not be pregnant anymore, and delighted with the result of all that hard work.

Heidle, Glitterkitty and Bumble, I hope things get cracking for you soon - by this time next week we should all be holding our little bundles. Bumble - I was 2cm on Friday afternoon and had Sophie the following morning, so is sounding very good for you!

Hope you all have a good day xxx

Emmymummy · 06/05/2007 10:12

Elkie - 26.5 hours? Ouch!

Katy44 · 06/05/2007 10:41

Hi everyone,

CONGRATULATIONS EMMYMUMMY

Sorry I haven't been around much, had a good night's sleep last night so feeling much better! Hope everyone's OK. Ellie, I thought that email was a bit strange, let's hope she's OK and just a little stressed.
Off to read the Dippy announcement!

EllieKthePA · 06/05/2007 11:58
