hello, i'm first timer and 19 weeks pregnant, just getting over the worst of pregnancy symptoms, is there anyone else who lives in the Plymouth area? i live in Tavistock where, for once, the sun is shining!

hi Loopymumsy, I moved to Plymouth a month ago. I have dd1 2.10 and dd2 16months. I haven't met any other mums yet here, but my sister has dd1 12 months. Let me know how you are getting on. Moving is hard work isn't it ! ?

loobybump · 17/05/2007 12:14

Kerri28 · 18/05/2007 13:53

hello again, hello looby when are you due? i don't actually live in plymouth, i live in tavistock, but i work in plymouth so if you (or any other mums-to-be) would like to meet up for a drink one lunchtime or after work i'm mroe than happy to. sorry to hear you're lonely, i know what you mean, even though i'm the old old age of 28 not many of my friends are pregnant or have kids either so when i talk about pregnancy they all seem to switch off!!

have been ill too since minute i got pregnant so social life gone down the pan!

Kerri28 · 22/05/2007 08:48

hi looby, sorry about long delay - kept meaning to check if you'd responded then forgot!! blame the pregnancy brain

I was originally due 20th august, but cos of size of baby at scan dates changed to 3rd september (gutted cos meant more time at work!) but i think i'm going to pop early cos am massively huge - look like swallowed a baloon.

yeah am having baby at derriford, heard good things about it so fingers crossed - are you? midwife keeps tellin me to have homebirth - as if?! i want drugs!!!

work at top end of plymouth (the end near debenhams) where do you work? do you fancy meetin for a spot of lunch or (sadly non alcoholic) drink after work one day?

loobybump · 22/05/2007 12:33

aw hun well mine was originally the 1st septemper but the scan made mine to small so they put me to the 11th! i couldn't have a home birth for my first i want the drugs too!!! :-)
Well im working on mutley would love to meet for lunch or do something some time. when are you starting your maternity? iv booked mine for 11th August hope its not to early! Although i do have a feeling i may not go to the end as im pretty big and everyone keeps saying O your very big for your dates Blah Blah Blah all the experts well all the people that have had millions of kids seem to know but then again they even tell me what im having by my bump so who knows! LOL- and their all different!

Kerri28 · 22/05/2007 14:12

i am starting maternity the same time!!! really really can't wait. gonna save all my baby clothes shopping until then to give me something to look forward to! i too am huge and will never ever get back into my nice (small) clothes again! have put on about one and a half stone. gutted!!! but i love people trying to guess what i'm having - i havent found out, like the idea of a surprise! (although i think i'm having a boy)

i finish work at 5 ish and can meet you after work in a pub on mutley plain for an hour or so for a diet, caffeine free, coke if you like?! just tell me when and where, can't do tuesday or friday nights but any other time good with me.

I feel the need for afternoon kips

Not likely to get any though! How are you settling in after your move? We are three months in and now feel the need for reorganisation. I never get it right first time round!

Your two are younger than mine though aren't they loopy? I'm starting to wonder how I'm going to cope with three under school age, but at least I'll be able to palm the older two off to preschool come January when DD turns three.

We are very near central park so you are more than welcome to come here for coffee if you get days like me when any other outing is a bit too much!! LO's can come and untidy my wreck of a playroom that I'm attempting to organise on Friday...

Loopy, you are very brave!! About the same age gap between my DS and DD and your DDs, only mine will be 4 and 2.9 when no3 arrives. They do play together all the time, but I sometimes feel like a ref at a wrestling match!

How do you manage two swimming? I'm not brave enough to take both on my own?

Mine cling like limpets! But probably if I took them more often they would be a bit more confident. DS currently on waiting list for lessons, hopefully he will start next term.

Are you missing Portsmouth yet?
