Hi! I got my bfp the same day as you but I'm still so nervous about it that I'm too scared to think I am in case I'm not again!

CaffeineBomb · 06/08/2017 22:00

Hi Impatientmummy! my EDD is 11th April. Will be nice to have some people to chat to who are due around the same time Smile

Impatientmummy36 · 07/08/2017 07:34

Hi,

So am I sienna, I keep testing as if it's going to disappear! Just got to keep reminding myself I've had baby before, he was fine in there, sure that will happen again!

I'm going to book an early scan for around 6-7 weeks, that really reassured me last time .

Hi caffeine :)

So we're all due within the same week?! My due date is my little boys birthday he'll be 4! Have to try and make sure it's not on that date otherwise they may never forgive me!

Going to book in with midwife as well this morn for around 8 weeks.

Has anyone told people yet?! X

I told a best friend as if it goes wrong, I wanted someone to know iyswim?

Last time, I had scans at the EPAU a lot between 6 and 14 weeks as I miscarried DC twin and I bled a lot on and off. I think I'll book an early scan too - good idea!

I'm also considering booking a harmony test at ten weeks but it's super expensive!

Impatientmummy36 · 07/08/2017 13:30

Sienna that must have been so traumatic for you. Definitely an early scan is good for reassurance.

The harmony test is expensive isn't it, about £500? I think I probably would though because I'm a worrier and any peace of mind is good. Maybe wait until the nuchal and decide then...

I've not told anyone yet (other than oh!) and dying to! X

It's £380 (not in London) but still a lot.

I'm somewhere between wanting to tell the world (I won't) and feeling to scared to even let myself believe it! I tested with a Clear Blue which is meant to be used the day of missed period and the line is definitely stronger than Friday and Saturday but I still feel crampy. Gah!!!!

CaffeineBomb · 07/08/2017 17:53

I've not told anyone but will tell my sister (she's my best friend) I tested with a digital just as still can't believe it. I will go for an early scan too probably around 7/8 weeks I think.

Hopefully you miss your sons birthday impatientmummy

Sienna that must have been really scary. Here's to a happy healthy pregnancy Smile

CaffeineBomb · 07/08/2017 17:57

Has anybody had any symptoms yet? Apart from being tired and on ovassion feeling a bit sick I haven't had much. Can't remember when it started last time though ...

ScarletSienna · 07/08/2017 18:01

No symptoms at all! I didn't last time either. Just loads of cramps still. I'm tired but I think I always am. My due date makes it about a week from my DC's birthday too!

So all likely to go for early scans...need to look into where locally is best as I'm not sure.

Impatientmummy36 · 08/08/2017 13:13

Symptoms wise I'm feeling a bit nauseous and a bit crampy which feels a bit worrying (but I know it's normal.)

Mainly just so tired and not sleeping well. So far all exactly same as last time!

With the scans they seem to range between £50 and £95 for the first scan near me (Stockport/Cheshire area). Big difference but all say qualified sonographers so might try the cheaper one!

ScarletSienna · 08/08/2017 18:11

Im glad you've said that cramping is normal - I know people say it is but I think I just need to keep hearing it as it is really worrying each time!

CaffeineBomb · 08/08/2017 23:04

I have been exhausted today. Struggled to stay awake all evening. Private scans are about £70 near me so not too bad will book in for about 8 weeks I think

ScarletSienna · 09/08/2017 03:58

Private scans are £95 here (I say 'here' but the nearest is 40+ mins away)!

ScarletSienna · 10/08/2017 17:34

I've just called the ultrasound studio place and think I'm going to book the 2nd September for viability scan and then book a panorama genetic screening for a few weeks after (£370) as I'm feeling anxious being older this time (36 by due date).
How's everyone doing?

CaffeineBomb · 10/08/2017 18:46

I'm ok. Not feeling overly sick yet but weirdly wishing I was. Thinking I will be booking the 2nd for viability scan too. Feeling quite nervous though just don't feel pregnany yet apart from the tiredness and occasional nausea

ScarletSienna · 10/08/2017 18:56

I'm the same but it's hard to tell if I'm imagining the nausea by wanting to feel sick as then I'd feel pregnant! I called one ultrasound place this morning and she is closing and moving her clinic to Chelsea in a few weeks so found somewhere different!

CaffeineBomb · 10/08/2017 19:10

Pregnant even stupid autocorrect

Impatientmummy36 · 11/08/2017 07:57

Hi, how's everyone today?

I have been feeling nauseous and skin sensitive, funny taste in mouth. I also keep wondering if imagining it !

Also had the tiniest bit of spotting last few days though, don't want to do tmi but it's very very light, beige not even brown, and barely even there, but still worried. Midwife saying normal and not to be overly concerned unless turns red and lots of it and/or severe pains. Travelling to Spain on Monday and wish I wasn't now just in case!

Anyone else had this before? I didn't in last pregnancy (or maybe I did and didn't notice before I knew I was pregnant)

CaffeineBomb · 11/08/2017 08:25

I did last time but it was around two days before af was due. I'm sure all will be fine especially if midwife doesn't sound concerned Smile

CaffeineBomb · 11/08/2017 08:48

Oh I also had brown blood at about 10 weeks last time and was referred to the epau and all was fine

ScarletSienna · 11/08/2017 09:07

When I miscarried, it was very bright red blood and you couldn't confuse it for brown or pink blood so I would feel confident with what you've described.

I haven't contacted surgery yet but their online info says first appt with midwife between 8 and 10 weeks so was thinking I could wait a while yet. Is that ok do you think?

Impatientmummy36 · 11/08/2017 13:15

Thanks both, there's nothing at all now today so I hope it's nothing x

Mine say same so I'm booked in for 6th sept, I know mine only does her clinic one day a week so i booked in advance so I could get the time I wanted x

OP posts:
ScarletSienna · 11/08/2017 13:19

I've just booked mine for when I will hopefully be 9.5 weeks-22nd September. Now to stay calm between now and first scan...

Impatientmummy36 · 11/08/2017 19:55

It's very hard staying calm Scarlett, harder for you I'm sure after mc xx

How are the cramps now, have they subsided? I've had more tiny spots and some twinges, not really cramps, almost feel I'm imagining it, so I also won't relax until I can have a scan!

OP posts:
CaffeineBomb · 11/08/2017 20:52

I forgot how tough early pregnancy is. I've had a bit of cramping today but don't feel pregnant so my imagination is running wild at the moment. Definitely looking forward to being able to have the early scan!
