Hello all :) so just found out I am pregnant again :) had an early miscarriage in January and fallen on again, which is amazing. I am very anxious this time around and don't want to get too excited, but can't help myself. I also found being on here last time was actually a great help when it was taken away from me as people are so kind and it helps to talk, so if it does happen again I am in the right place xx anyway happy times now :) eeeeeek. Anymore early Decembers.
If there is already a group tell me and I can join that. X

Bird I'm exactly the same with the cramping and was going to ask if anyone else had it! Feels like period cramps in my lower abdomen and round the back. I've read it's completely normal but i still worry a little.

Also feeling exhausted at the moment. Slept on the sofa yesterday evening then had a good sleep last night (no crazy waking at 4am) but still feel like i could sleep for a week. Currently hiding at work so i get a chance to sit down!

I've also got a really muddled brain. Like i keep losing track of what I was saying, and today I couldn't even work out simple maths... £20 - £11 (sorry to all those teachers out there)! Any one else struggling with this? I though baby brain was saved for the later trimester!!

Confused
Zaberwocky · 07/04/2017 13:45

Marie YES! May I refer you to my post yesterday about all my loads of washing without detergent 😂 I think it's quite normal to not have two brain cells to run together this early on!

Zaberwocky · 07/04/2017 13:49

Millie Milkshakes maybe?
You might be able to find something that looks appealing on Pinterest!

Banana pancakes?

Quorn products?

There are other sources of protein 🙂 I wouldn't worry too much! It's not like your baby is going to turn into a babybell or anything! Plenty of people have shocking pregnancy diets and have perfectly healthy babies.

BirdBrain85 · 07/04/2017 14:33

Marie, how many weeks are you? We sound very similar I'm 5 weeks tomorrow. I've had the exact pains you describe, felt it in my back a little last night and earlier today. Was so worried! Also made some really daft mistakes at work - wrote down the wrong house number and went to the wrong house!! So tired too, had to sleep when I got in yesterday and had an early night which seems to have helped today.

Hello, I'm due 9th December (seems like there's a few of us due that date!) Congratulations everyone x

Millie2008 · 07/04/2017 15:11

Are quorn products safe during pregnancy? I read some weird stuff about estrogen!

Zaberwocky · 07/04/2017 15:33

Millie my GP in the past has said it's fine, as long as it's cooked properly, and you're not eating it every day. I just checked the NHS website and it's still on there as a recomended source of protein during pregnancy.

But I wouldn't eat it if you're worried about it Smile

TipTop333 · 07/04/2017 16:00

Got my gp appointment later today to get my mw referral (they don't do self referral) and to ask for something for my constipation. Anyone else suffering?

Chamonix1 · 07/04/2017 16:05

Tiptop- I've got the opposite issue Grin

glastogal · 07/04/2017 16:11

Oh tiptop yes! It's so bad.. I suffer anyway but the last few days have been painful. I was meant to ring the midwife today to ask about movicol!

TipTop333 · 07/04/2017 16:41

Glastogal I tried my dd's movicol when she was prescribed it and it made me gag. How do you take it so it isn't utterly foul?

glastogal · 07/04/2017 17:13

I just take it as it is tiptop - I don't mind the flavour! Have you tried adding squash?

imsuchafool12345 · 07/04/2017 17:19

Well that was a wasted appointment. They refused to do a blood test till next week. Ive got to re do a test between 5-7 days and see her next week if its still negative or not and if it is to give me some tablets to kick start my periods. If my period doesn't come back then ive got to have bloods and go down a route to see whats causing all this.

Zaberwocky · 07/04/2017 17:42

Imsuch I'm sorry they weren't more helpful. I really do think you'll have more luck with the more sensitive tests though, hopefully they'll arrive in the next few days.

I really do understand how shitty the waiting is though Flowers

imsuchafool12345 · 07/04/2017 17:52

I think I'm just going to wait even when the sensitive onea come. In just expecting the worst now.

Foxglove88 · 07/04/2017 18:06

I'm sorry about the bleeding you're going through, ladies. I can't imagine how scary it must be. Take good care of yourselves please. The waiting is the worst.
I'm not really getting much in the way of symptoms. 6 weeks today. I'm really tired, but I'm not sure if it's any more than usually! I've had a couple of people tell me I look knackered Hmm I've had a few twinges as well as slightly sore boobs, but nothing out of the norm pre-period. No constipation, sorry tiptop!
I'm swaying towards getting an early scan. I would hate to have my scan in 6 weeks and find out it's a phantom baby!

looby1304 · 07/04/2017 18:18

tiptop I'm suffering with the same thing, it's making me feel so bloated! Other than that it's only the tiredness and sore boobs I've got so far

TipTop333 · 07/04/2017 18:25

So went to the dr to get registered with the mw and asked for something for my bunged up bum but he was really reluctant. Said he didn't like giving medication in the first trimester. He gave me lactulose anyway but recommended I only have it if really necessary and I try more fibre instead. Googles list of foods with fibre in

Then on my way out I had to hand the referral form to the receptionist. She looked at it and burst into this enormous smile and said "CONGRATULATIONS! ooh let's see if we can get on the system now and get your appointment booked in!" She was just so excited. It was completely refreshing because the (very few) people I've told have also known about my mc so have been cautious in their congrats and I haven't allowed myself to get excited either.

Chamonix1 · 07/04/2017 18:32

Fox I'm 5.4 weeks. I too have little to no symptoms I'm just very tired.
I've googled this, apparently it's normal and no sign of how well your pregnancy is going. I hope that's the case anyway!

Zaberwocky · 07/04/2017 18:56

Tip that's so lovely to hear! Smile I'm glad someone (other than us) was that excited for you!

And I too am rather bunged up ... I don't know if it's stress, pregnancy or the unusual diet of foods I can stomach Grin

Marie90 · 07/04/2017 20:21

Zaber Yes! Thank you! My OH said it was wayyyy too early for baby brain but I'm convinced! Either that or is just because I'm so knackered!

And I'm 5 weeks on Monday Bird. I'm so glad someone else has similar symptoms.i wouldn't panic about anything... They all so normal according to Dr Google 🙈

Tiptop I'm so happy someone as so positive around you! Although i can understand that you're anxious due to your previous MC but it must be nice to have someone so over the moon for you! 😊

Zaberwocky · 07/04/2017 20:41

Marie even my DH agrees it's normal! That or he's fearful of my hormones...

glastogal · 07/04/2017 20:51

zaber fear of hormones is sensible.. I'm like a crazy person at times!!

Marie90 · 07/04/2017 21:05

Haha maybe i should unleash the inner hormonal wreck just so that my OH believes me 😂

Zaberwocky · 07/04/2017 21:24

Marie depends on if he's likely to use your OTT reaction to something against you or not.

DH still laughs at me sobbing hysterically in the cinema over the Lidl advert with the Scottish cows ... I was devastated that they were going to die!
