Do you have a secret baby stash drawer? 20 weeks & counting...slowly

My first antenatal post, first baby and first admission that I have a little drawer where I'm secretly stashing baby stuff. I just want to have a plain old (virtual) nose around other peoples' baby stash drawers.

Baby Stash so far:
Baby Gap hoodie (grey & white)
Mamas & Papas activity spiral
Spotty Mamas & Papas babygrow
2 x Water wipes
A fake Hawaiian flower garland (...don't ask)
Even weirder...a Frida Kahlo colouring book (may be getting a little ahead of myself)

I might do .... it might contain a fluffy baby coat (covering feet too) and a stripey babygro a la Toby in Labyrinth.

No but I did have a whole bookcase of children's books and vintage toys before DS was born. Justify it but calling myself a 'collector'

I've had my eye on that frida khalo colouring book recently it looks lovely

16+6 today and my baby stash is just getting going.

I have a bundle of 'unisex' vests and babygros my cousin gave me as her daughter has outgrown them. All need another wash, but that can wait until I'm in the nesting stage.

Also, my best friend got me a lovely new babygro, and a book (That's Not My Fox) when I told her I was pregnant. She also gave me a set of Beatrix Potter books as she had them all duplicated. She's also had a baby recently, and has mentioned that she's putting some things aside for when I need them.

I've bought, so far, two semi-geeky babygros, two small soft toys, and a sheepskin (when I was a baby, my Mum's friends from New Zealand sent one over, so it seems almost traditional to get a nice fluffy sheepskin for the baby... weird, maybe, but it felt right to do!)

It's all in the guest room, waiting for the clothes to be folded and put into the drawers in there. That room will eventually become the nursery when baby's old enough to be in their own room.

It's clearly not so secret - Mum's just given me a lamaze colourful dragon toy for the baby, so that has joined the stash. Dragon

I might also have a secret stash of baby things. It contains:

A few unisex baby grows
A bright stripy blanket
A patchwork quilt that I a very proud of because I made it myself!!
Hopefully will contain another patchwork quilt when I get over my hyperemesis and finish making it.

Oh and also my daughters first blanket.

Yep! 19 weeks, not discovering the gender till birth!

3 Little Lamb Bamboo nappies
1 white and grey star blanket
A bundle of green and grey vests/soft leggings from h&m
10 flannels (making own baby wipes)
1 Liberty stretchy wrap in black

Next week I'm adding 2 boxes of Close Pop In Newborn Nappies.

CaptainKit · 24/09/2015 17:36

Ah, I'm hoping to find out the sex next week at my 20 week scan, but then will attempt to hold out any not tell anyone what it is until closer to birth (I was thinking about putting it in Christmas cards to close family)

Been looking at prams and travel systems lately, not sure exactly when to buy one, but it'd definitely bump my stash up into something more resembling a trove... a hoarding...? A stockpile!

cth1982 · 06/10/2015 16:50

I'm 28 weeks now and the stash has now gotten out of control - I have an entire otterman filled with baby clothes including the most sweet pram coat from Next - reusable nappies - towels - muslins - a play mat - rocker - breast pump...

I have however left price tags on everything as I am still worried about jinxing myself - furniture is coming in a couple of weeks time so that might finally get me washing and packing things away...
