I'm in Braintree - no longer pg though have 11 week old and 16 month old. Both at St John's - not a nice venue, but BRILLIANT team of MWs there.

podglet · 06/10/2006 19:16

Hi all, I'm still here (waves merrily) Am still up for mini meet if others are

Hi eeny - have completely run out of pretty shoes now 33 weeks pg! Hope your DS is ok after his early arrival.

Hope everyone in out littles triangle is ok

OOOOOOOOooooooooOOOOOOOOO · 06/10/2006 19:19

Hi Eeny and Salamander and congratulations! (It is F&Z here with a silly name btw)

I am local as you know, Eeny. I am still hoping to meet you at one of my groups (we have some new session times now as well). Keep me posted if you organise a meet up, pls

DastardlyDevilishDior · 06/10/2006 19:28

OMG! F&Z - I didn't know you were local!

Yes, I'm a Colchester lass, but not pg...

JARM is lovely too (thanks for the boost JARM, it made my day!) So, where will you go when dh leaves the army? We never did go for that second coffee did we?!

DastardlyDevilishDior · 06/10/2006 19:29

And, I didn't know Eenywifemum was married to Salamander either...I remember the BB7 threads Salamander

eenywifemum · 07/10/2006 00:09

hi all! its so nice to hear so many friendly people are local!

I'm trying to think of a central place where we could do a meet up... a pub? nothing smokey though... a childrens venue?

FrannyandZooey · 07/10/2006 07:45

Dior I have mentioned it before but I don't think you knew who I was then

Eeny, could those of us who have older children come too, maybe? Or were you thinking you'd rather keep it just for new babies?

DastardlyDevilishDior · 07/10/2006 13:41

Have you changed names then F&Z? If not, maybe I just missed it. Do you actually live in Colchester then? Almost and Angel is fairly local too, although not on here much now.

FrannyandZooey · 07/10/2006 18:20

Yup, I do. I have always been Franny or some variant thereof, but I was probably just a bit of a newie when I mentioned it to you

eenywifemum · 08/10/2006 14:25

Franny I would love for everyone to come, definitely not just those with older children and babies! The more the merrier imo as long as the venue can take it!

crunchie · 08/10/2006 14:35

BTW you all forget me, I'm a local girl too. I went to zippo's last night F&Z and I made damn sure dh couldn't volunteer

podglet · 08/10/2006 15:03

ah boo Crunchie, DP won't take me to Zippos! I'd love a meet up but may be a spanner in the works as i don't drive but very easily can do buses & trains... As I don't have my LO yet (6 weeks and counting) I don't know v many children friendly places, sorry1

eenywifemum · 08/10/2006 15:29

Franny you must know of some child friendly places that could take our numbers. I dont really as I only have an 8 week old so dont have much experience of it yet.

Podglet you must be so excited!

podglet · 09/10/2006 20:44

hi Eeny - am v excited now! Lots going on at the moment though (my dad has just died and as the eldest child I am dealing with the estate)
Can't wait for that first cuddle though and to meet LO

Tyakit · 10/10/2006 12:50

Hi, I live in a tiny village about 8 miles from Braintree so I think I qualify for the triangle?

I have a dd aged 3.5 and am 10wks pg with #2, due 8th May next year. Have just heard that I am booked into the Rosie to have #2 which is where I had dd - so at least I know the layout!

eenywifemum · 11/10/2006 21:50

Tyakit what is the Rosie? You definitely qualify for the triangle!

Podglet I am sorry about your Dad. Its so sad but at least you have a new life to look forward to, although it doesnt replace your Dad.

posyparker · 12/10/2006 11:17

I am definitely up for a meet-up too. Can I just check where everyone is located, and also ages of kids and EDDs, then we can work out somewhere suitable, fairly central and also easily accessible for non-drivers?

I am also about 8 miles outside Braintree - to the north, (we could be neighbours Tyakit!), DDs aged 10 and 6, LO due 9 January.

eenywifemum · 12/10/2006 13:24

me and Salamander (my DH) are in Coggeshall with a 9 week old baby boy

podglet · 12/10/2006 17:37

I am in central Colchester with an EDD of 18th Nov...

Eeny - It is v sad as he was only 53 but we had the funeral today and I do feel much better now and able to move on a bit.

eenywifemum · 12/10/2006 19:45

podglet - I'm glad you are getting to a place where you can start to heal a little. [hugs]

Tyakit · 12/10/2006 20:50

Glad to hear I qualify for the triangle! We are between Braintree and Saffron Walden.

Eenywifemum - The Rosie is the maternity unit at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. We are about 30mins from there so marginally closer than to St John's in Chelmsford. Had my first antental appt there today so we got to see our beanie swimming and kicking about .

podglet · 19/12/2006 18:19

hi,

thought I would bump this thread as I now have my LO (he arrived 3 weeks early on 1st November) and would love to meet up with some other local mums...

Is anybody still about?

posyparker · 22/12/2006 08:31

Hey, Podglet, I am still here! Congratulations on your new LO! Where did you have him and what name did you choose?

I am currently 37+3, huge, and in deep shock each morning now that nothing has happened overnight (convinced this LO is going to be early).

Did your birth go well? May need to leave a meet-up a few weeks till after I've had my LO (gender unknown!), but I am definitely still up for it.

Have a great first Christmas with your new baby xxx

podglet · 01/01/2007 15:18

Hi Posy - did you have a good Christmas and Happy New year?

I had a little boy, Ivan David Hull who weighed in at 7lb 15 oz. \link[http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=1370&threadid=239230&stamp=061116151824\here} is my birth announcement if you want the gory details!

I bet you are looking forward to your lo arriving I had DS at Colchester General and whilst ante-natal wasn't great as they were v understaffed, the delivery suite and post natal were brilliant...

would still love a meet up but perhaps leave it for a few weeks?

podglet · 01/01/2007 15:20

Let's try that link again
