Wonderful news for today as we welcome babycandy and little Charlotte and hoping that this thread sees little Alex and Evan home very soon.

How many more babies will this thread see?

Oh user that's fantastic! Good luck :).

NotShortImFunSized · 22/04/2013 05:26

Good luck today Fluff!! And User! It's all go here this morning. I've been having contractions since 2.30. They're about every 6mins now and have had a show. Looks like we will have a few babies today Grin

num3onway · 22/04/2013 05:51

Good luck fluff, user and notshort! Busy day today!

HadALittleFaithBaby · 22/04/2013 05:53

Oooh it's all go!

Good luck for the c-section Fluff. Try not to worry about things. Based on the last week I'd say you're never ready ! It's the steepest learning curve! Are you requesting skin to skin when baby is born? I knew from the second they put Faithlet on my tummy we had a special bond because she calmed on me, she knew me in a heart beat :)

Good luck to user - keep us posted!

River it must be tough going so far over but remember you're having this baby in the next week or so come what may!

Just having a feed here. Much, much easier night. I'm starting to learn her cues and she's finding a pattern with feeding I think. Maybe I can do this! :)

Teapig · 22/04/2013 06:08

Morning ladies. I think my waters may have gone. Woke up to a trickle and made it to the bathroom before clear liquid was runnimg out, sorry if tmi. It didn't feel, look or smell like wee so I'm assuming it's my waters rather than incontinence. No other labour symptoms though. Sorry for me, me, me post will catch up later on.

num3onway · 22/04/2013 06:35

Oooo another one! How exciting!

Teapig · 22/04/2013 06:57

Congratulations ifat!

Good luck notshort, user and fluffeh!

After resigning myself to nothing happening for ages I'm going in to hospital later on to check that waters have definitely gone. If labour doesn't start in 24 hours I'd be induced tomorrow. Suddenly feeling very unprepared!

Really hoping it was my waters and not a false alarm of incontinence! Pretty sure it was as they're clear and smelt sweet. Looks like we may have a few new arrivals soon.

jj247 · 22/04/2013 08:35

Wow, sounds like things are really moving here today! Good luck everybody xx
Got my 40 week appointment with my obstetrician this morning so going to get confirmation that bean is still the right way up and engaging plus find out what the plan is for the next 2 weeks as everything has been very vague so far.
fluff I'm hoping your worries are completely normal as I feel exactly the same! Big hugs xx

JaquelineHyde · 22/04/2013 08:44

Wow! It is all go on here today!

Good luck with the csec fluffeh try not to worry yourself with all those questions they are totally natural things to be worrying about at this stage.

Fingers crossed for easy speedy births for notshort and user I'm waving my pompoms for you all and can't wait to see the squishy newborn pics.

Fingers crossed for you as well Teapig how exciting if your waters have gone, the countdown could officially begin Smile

Absolutely nothing going on here, I did 40mins of nipple tweaking yesterday (yes I am desperate) which gave me immediate mild cramping but made me feel quite sick as well Confused I might give it another go later today surely something has to work!

40+4 and slowly losing the will to live!

Teapig · 22/04/2013 08:52

fluffeh I'm sure you'll be a brilliant mum and your worries are totally normal. I have the same worries and found sharing them with dh and best friend has helped me realise that's how normal they are. Can't wait to hear your baby news.

Just had hospital check and my waters have definitely gone. No other signs of labour so I'm booked in for an induction tomorrow at 8am if things haven't already started. Baby is now engaged which I'm really pleased about. I reckon that six mile walk did the trick.

jaq I hope things start for you soon, 40 mins of nipple tweeking will surely start things offSmile

Mama1980 · 22/04/2013 08:59

Good luck user, Notshort, and fluffeh! So exciting!! Grin Xxx

Mama1980 · 22/04/2013 08:59

Teapig, hope things start up for you. Good luck! Xxx

num3onway · 22/04/2013 09:19

How exciting teapig! Are you doing anything to encourage baby out or resting up?

Rivergirly · 22/04/2013 09:51

Good luck to Fluff for today and Teapig defo sounds like waters - have you rung the hospital/midwife - here we have to ring immediately as if nothing happens there is a risk of infection - my hospitals policy with ds2 was you had to go in and things have to be started within 6 hours (even though he wasn't born til the next day).

Finally had a sign of something here - had a show this morning yey!!

edinfirst · 22/04/2013 10:59

Oh wow, so much going on today let it be a good day for me too, let it be my time! Congratulations and good luck everyone.

Special yippee to due date buddy Rivergirly, hope other signs follow quickly.

JaquelineHyde · 22/04/2013 11:43

Good luck River fingers crossed things progress for you today.

I've spent the morning completing a school admission appeal and hoping for some kind of pain to start.

Still nothing though and I don't have even the slightest twinge or ache.

I will keep checking in for updates from all you lovely ladies.

40 + 4

Cocochops · 22/04/2013 12:00

Just seen the midwife has referred me to the doctor to discuss delaying induction. Really don't know what to do now when they keep mentioning still birth i think i should just have the induction on Friday.

Will wait and see what the doctor says.

edinfirst · 22/04/2013 12:11

coco when will you see the dr? I think you (we) have to go with gut instinct. I spoke to the midwife again this morning and have decided to book in for induction at 40+14 or 15. She was so lovely about it, saying that this still does not commit me to anything and I can change my mind before then. I will see her on Wednesday for a regular appointment and she is happy to discuss it all again whenever I need to. The reason I am now leaning towards induction is really the emotional rollercoaster of waiting. I am starting to really struggle with the well-meaning texts and phonecalls that feel like accusations of some kind of conspiracy by me not to share my baby with the world. Hormones really have a lot to answer for at this stage! I hope you can get some good information and support from your doctor, keep us posted.

Also keep us posted all those who are making progress - exciting!

enjay0811 · 22/04/2013 12:37

Ooh, lots happening today! Good luck all!! Can't wait to see the pics on fb Grin

Nothing happening with me....starting to think I've imagined it all and have just overeaten for the last 9 mths! Hmm

40+3

EssexWelsh · 22/04/2013 12:43

Woo hoo 22nd April going to be a popular date! Good luck ladies, breathe through it, remember every contraction puts you one step closer to meeting your baby! Smile

KelleStar · 22/04/2013 13:22

Back from MW check-up. Turns out fidget may be breech, 3 midwives felt that they couldn't confirm fidget was head down so they booked me a scan later on, up at the main hospital. DH is coming home to go through lists and get a bit prepared.

But it looks as if I am heading for a CS so having to just make sure I've covered everything.

Any advice from other CS mums? Any essentials I should add in to my notes or bag? Any tips for DH?

I had always planned a VB but with the possibility of a CS, so my bag is packed with a mix of both, with the theory anything essential DH could get later.

I am feeling mostly calm, a little emotional I hadn't given DD a kiss goodbye when MIL took her to gymnastics this morning.

leluella · 22/04/2013 13:42

I finally have a baby! Xanthe Iris was born at 05:31 this morning (13 days past due date) by c section after starting the induction process on Saturday. C section wasn't as bad as anticipated and after feeding for 1.5 hours this morning she has slept all day!

LikeCandy · 22/04/2013 13:46

Good luck to you all - fantastic day to be born ( it's my brothers b'day today :))
To anyone worrying about induction/section - please don't worry, I had both and both are a distant memory now. Even with an infection in my scar, at 4w after I feel good as new (was probably more like 3w tbh).
Pack plenty of snacks and cardigans and nighties and pj bottoms!

Flowers to you all!

LikeCandy · 22/04/2013 13:49

leluella congrats! what an awesome name (Iris was on our list!) sounds like you had a similar birth experience to me - here's wishing you a speedy recovery! Don't be surprised if it is agony to get up/about the first time you try, it gets easier v quick!

birdbrain17 · 22/04/2013 13:50

wow so much happening on here today Grin good luck everyone and if your still waiting don't worry it will be over eventually, you don't stay pregnant forever....
