Yes good luck ruck!

rugbugs - yay on scan date!! Mine is 6 weeks today, next mw appt is 2 weeks today, nice to have markers to help time go quicker!!

Also just realised om 14 weeks today. Cheerio first trimester!! I'm ready to start feeling good now any time you're ready to let me stop puking hormones Grin

RugBugs · 08/02/2013 09:55

Mine is at 19+5 Beckie but in a clinic not at the main hospital. Very odd.

Still waiting on my 16wk consultant appt LittleMiss! I know his clinic is a wed am so can at least plan for when it will be. I need to call my gp surgery and book to see mw for that week too, she only does a half day a week.

My what to expect app tells me anything beyond 13wks is 2nd trimester!
I have realised that at 13/14 weeks we can realistically expect to give birth in six months time!

beckie90 · 08/02/2013 10:07

Hmm that us strange rugs maybe there full or something. And 6 months seems a whole lot better then 9 months, I think its going quite fast really. Although in some ways I want it to hurry and in others I dont, once there born it goes so fast, blink and there nearly 2years old and beyond lol x

RuckAndRoll · 08/02/2013 11:53

I've got my scan this afternoon and the letter says to drink 'clear, non gassy fluid'. No problem there. But does weak orange squash count as clear fluid?! I can't stand water on its own.

RugBugs · 08/02/2013 12:17

I would say so Ruck I drank peach squash and no complaints from the sonographer. I did have peach smelling burps for the morning though!

DaveMccave · 08/02/2013 12:35

Thanks for all the well wishes yesterday, scan went well. I had to go and wait for ten minutes because my bladder wasnt quite full enough, but it didnt take long. Due 18th August :)

Sorry your going through so much at home waves hyperemesis on its own is more than enough for anyone to be dealing with its not fair you've for all that going on too.

As for prams, I wasn't going to bother, just get a few slings and babywear, but a friend has offered me her quinny buzz travel system for free so I'll accept that just in case :)

beckie90 · 08/02/2013 13:02

Congrats on your scan dave :) xx

Jollymummy2 · 08/02/2013 13:04

Ooh Dave, lucky you, I have my eye on a Quinny Buzz this time after trying about 10 other pushchairs with my other DC!

Scan went well, and baby looked very chilled lying back with its legs crossed.
Not looking forward to the "your having ANOTHER one," comments. It's number 4 not number 10!!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 08/02/2013 13:39

Hurrah for your good scans Dave & Jolly!

Thanks for waves & Mayan

Ruck, I guess they're just making sure people don't drink a litre of coke! I didn't have anything pre-scan & she found everything alright...good luck!

Beckie, we want to find out the sex as we didn't with DS, but will see what we think on the day.

DH felt it move last night for the first time, he got more emotional than me.

13+6

Ditsy79 · 08/02/2013 13:41

ruck - I think orange squash would be okay. My letter said to drink 2 pints of fluid (but not milk), so I think you'll be alright. Good luck!

beckie90 · 08/02/2013 13:43

jolly I've not told anyone yet for that reason, I got the same with my second. So dreading telling people this time xx

LittleMissSnowShine · 08/02/2013 14:44

rugbugs - Ahh!! 6 months!! Woo hoo!! Too true, my EDD is 6 months tomorrow Shock I always thought first trimester was first thirteen weeks and second tri started at 14 weeks. I'm probably just rambling tho!

Still illness HQ at snow towers and DH, who said he'd get away from work early and be home by 3:30 tried to phone and give me some excuse about work being busy and my hormones / headache / wailing toddler made me just put phone down on him lol It's annoying because MiL was perfectly willing to take DH for a few hours today to give me a break since I am also sick as a dog but cos DH was so insistent he'd be back early to take over i've been up since half 6 with a feverish, cross 2 year old. Ho and indeed hum. TGIF!

LittleMissSnowShine · 08/02/2013 14:45

Also..sorry!! Congrats dave & jolly Grin

RememberingMyPFEs · 08/02/2013 15:16

Congrats Dave and Jolly. Eagerly awaiting news from Ruck!

Beckie we are planning to find out the sex at the 20 week scan if possible - 13/03 so 20+1

JollyRedGiant · 08/02/2013 15:24

Hi all.

Sorry to hear your news Waves. Thinking of you and your DC.

Scan today went well. Lovely little bean in there. 1.5mm too small for NT so we are back on Thursday.

Dates changed so 40w is 29th August but having an ELCS which is booked for 22nd August!! Family all very excited :)

New gestation: 11+1

RugBugs · 08/02/2013 15:33

Congrats to Dave and Jolly!

I am still undecided about finding out the sex. After seeing the scan I'm really thinking I'm having a boy. I get extra scans because of pre-eclampsia with DD and we're planning a 3/4D scan for my birthday in May so it might be hard to avoid asking that question!

So excited, off down South this evening to see my family. I will finally get cuddles with my niece!

beckie90 · 08/02/2013 15:56

Congrats jollyred

rugs just looked at your scan, im leaning towards boy, when I was looking at mine on the screen I thought boy but then looking at scan I think girl.

I do want to find out but DP is been stubborn, so looks like I'm going to be team yellow till I give birth, 26wk of pure torment cause I so wanna know Haha

Dexidoo · 08/02/2013 16:24

Trekked back down to London for harmony results and NT today. All went fantastically- trisomy risk is less than 1 in 10000, NT 1.5mm and scan showed all bits appear to be on the right places. Bean has had a growth spurt and am now dated at 12+5 so due date a few days earlier eek

Currently freezing my arse off at Paddington waiting for train home. The promise of chip shop supper will keep me going! Anyone have any nice plans this weekend?

beckie90 · 08/02/2013 16:28

Thats fab dexi :) congrats :) xx

RuckAndRoll · 08/02/2013 16:49

there's a baby! and it has a heartbeat! Grin
been put forward a bit so now 13+5.
totally overwhelmed so will report back later.

FoofFighter · 08/02/2013 17:22

fab news re scans, sorry can't name check you all cause of babybrain Grin who is left to have one now?

Waves and mayan - biggest of huggles to you both, this pregnancy lark is hard enough going without external factors thrown in Sad I hope you get some support during these tough times, remember we are always here to listen too xx Thanks

Had a pretty shitty week too but nothing compared to you two so won't go into details just now but it's enough to stress me out!

On the bright side, had a delivery of an ebay purchase, maternity denim skirt, very flattering, looks fab, and most importantly, is blissfuly comfortable! My bump is out one morning, down the next, and I can't get comfy, even in legging and a tunic as i am sitting here now it's digging in argh!
