New thread as the other one is nearly full Xmas Shock!

Our next baby should be pmgkt's, but I won't if any little cheeky monkey will sneak in before Thursday?

birdies noone ever bothered charting this one or DD1 for anything.
I was also surprised that they do not measure length anymore? or is it Scotland only?

Tugstonia · 11/01/2013 18:03

Thanks birdies. the back pain is pretty constant and feels very nervey rather than achey, did yours feel like that? Bump feels very tender as well but not tight. Wish I knew what was going on in there! How utterly annoying about the growth charts, unbelievable that they can't get it right. Hope you and dd are doing well.

theboutiquemummy · 11/01/2013 18:44

Hormonal Twice i went in n nothing 3rd time I had little trickles the waters never actually went but the worst thing is by the time little man was born he had been without them for 27 hours Angry Sad n so I had to have lots of antibiotics

Hang in there lovely try not to let other people's expectations put pressure on you easier said then done i know but you are stronger then you know an by the sounds of it bubs won't be long xox

orangeshortbread · 11/01/2013 19:22

I saw the midwife today and had a sweep but cervix was posterior and she could only reach the external opening? Booked in for another try on Sunday and if nothing then will be looking at induction in the middle of next week. sigh

Lostbobbles · 11/01/2013 19:25

Hi Ladies

Well after 29 long slow hours of labour, we finally welcomed DD2 into the world at 5.10am this morning, we have named her Lois and she is a didi 5lb.9oz. Mummy and Daddy are smitten as is DD1 who is on cloud 9 as she really wanted a little sister.

hoping her lazy arrival translates into a lovely sleeping baby.

Congrats Allchik, Happy and Deicio hope you are all doing well.

Hormonalhell · 11/01/2013 22:37

Lostbobbles · 12/01/2013 12:05

Morning well looks like I have been blessed with another nocturnal warrior but this one has decided to add comfort feeding/ suckling into mix as well , hope milk comes in quick as she seems so hungry and not settling.

Hey EDD buddy I'm sending that boy an eviction notice tell him he has some catching up to do. Xxx

Hormonalhell · 12/01/2013 12:13

He must have got it quick lost bobbles cos he's hereGrinGrinGrin

Little Charlie James was born at 1.55am after a 2 hour labour Shock weighs 6lb 4oz n teeny. Will write birth story on post natal soon Smile

BuntyCollocks · 12/01/2013 12:21

Congrats, hormonal!

octanegirl · 12/01/2013 12:23

Congrats bobbles and hormonal! Happy for you!
No activity here. 40+3 now, had 2nd sweep, Midwife said nothing happening. Now into the 6th week of bugger-all sleep due to pain in hips and such like. Booooo.

godzookey · 12/01/2013 14:36

congrats you two!!

Octane i'm 40 weeks on Monday - SOOO fed up and know exactly what you mean about lack of sleep, i'm averaging about 5 hours a night at the moment.

I just wish i felt something or even lost a bit of the show etc like some of the ladies, but literally nothing. Scared to have a sweep but think i'm going to enquire about it at my MW appt on Monday

Orange you have my smypathies too - it's just so frustrating, and i am by nature a v impatient person. My mum told me that i was 2 weeks overdue as apparently she was expecting me on the 14th Jan - the last thing i want to do is have a baby on my birthday!!

godzookey · 12/01/2013 14:41

plus is anyone else other than myself freaking out about the predictions for heavy snow - i'm now picturing scenarios whereby it's impossible to get to hospital/doula can't get to our house etc etc.....

salt1 · 12/01/2013 15:27

congrats to the new mommies.

godz i amfeaking out a bit about the snow.

i am not due for 2 weeks but getting back ache and period pain - could this be the start?

Lostbobbles · 12/01/2013 15:58

Yippee Hormonal, fabulous news. Yet another great name, enjoy xx

More eviction wishes being sent to those still waiting xx

Lostbobbles · 12/01/2013 16:02

Salt, both my labours started with those symptoms. Fingers crossed for you

preggofabulous · 12/01/2013 16:10

Salt that's how mine started. The cramping started about two days before, and the day before my discharge took on a slightly pinky colour which was the start of the show. Good luck x

theboutiquemummy · 12/01/2013 18:27

Whoot hormonal GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin ha a 2 hr labour that's because you did all the work before hand xWinkWink

Congratulations bobbles

More cool names for the board x

Hormonalhell · 12/01/2013 22:17

Salt that was me this time last night, felt horrible n crampy after tea last night with backache, went to bed took painkillers had a sharp stabbing pain about 10.45 rushed to loo for number two then had another 5 mins later, was different to Braxton hicks more intense they then kept coming every 5 mins rang an ambulance he was here less than hour later Shock

DoIgetastickerforthat · 12/01/2013 22:23

Hi ladies, congrats to all the new mummies and good luck to all you still waiting.

Ive lurked on this thread but thought I should post an update.I had DC4 (DD1) on Wednesday at 12.22pm by elective c-section. She was 7lb 14 and 52cm long with long legs and a mop of raven black hair. We've named her Safiya and are absolutely besotted by her.

Bunny222 · 12/01/2013 23:32

Hi all. Congrats on all the new arrivals, so wonderful to log on and discover some more babies have arrived.

Am getting massively itchy feet, spent the aftwenoon practising putting the pram up and down. Reorganised the nursery. Feeling so frustrated waiting for baby. And 38+4 and finding it so hard to be patient. Keep hoping one of thse numerous aches and twinges means something, but so far nada :-(

Lora1982 · 13/01/2013 00:03

Ok i think its important i give the ladies yet to evict my advice :-D first go for a massive shop preferably asda to get things moving and second when baby is here please make the most of your first two nights. Youl think somethings wrong cos the baby isnt crying but just sleep!!!!! They really come into their own the 3rd night find their voice and start actually needing food rather than living off their reserves.... SLEEP.... I DIDNT and now im up practically all hours

theboutiquemummy · 13/01/2013 01:50

Hi Lora me 2 at the moment the baby is hiccupping n hubby is snoring BlushSad

Lora1982 · 13/01/2013 02:59

Hiccups are a pain the only way ive managed to get rid was to put himback on the boob. Winding them away would take ages . He makes me laugh with his impressive amount of farts and wind.

Yesterday the shopman said 'oh you look rough, you got a cold?' to be fair i did look rough but i said'no, i just had a baby' :-D the sod then went on to add inslt to injury by saying 'oh youve had it then?' must start diet soon :-D

preggofabulous · 13/01/2013 05:51

Did u slap him?? Lol
