Due in October, living in London... it's going to be an uncomfortable summer...

Just wondering if anyone wanted to get involved with a London-based club. I live in East London, am 27 years old and am due on 26th October with my first. Anyone else?

Can I join in if there is a South-of-the-river meet? I'm North, but as I'm on the Isle of Dogs, technically I'm also both east and west of the river too...
Orenishii I was too late for the antenatal classes in my area, so I'm not bothering (not keen on the idea of NCT).
According to my book, appointments should be at 23 weeks, 28 weeks, 31 weeks, 34 weeks, 36 weeks, 38 weeks, 40 weeks. Approx.
Hypnobirthing... are you going to do a class? I'm just listening to the natal hypnotherapy cds (I recommend them, they're nice) and doing the reading.

How's everyone feeling about commuting during the Olympics? I'm a bit worried- the tourism has started already- lots of people standing on the wrong side of the escalator...
Good luck with the move Sastra!

Londonmrs - of course, we just need to organise somethingSmile

Sastra-hope the move goes wellGrin

I've been feeling quite relaxed about everything, probably because I'm only really thinking about two/three weeks ahead - fingers crossed it doesn't leave me unprepared.

My next appointment is 28weeks, although following some serious itching, and a blood test that was just outside of the normal range, I now have to have more blood tests and stuff to rule out obstetric cholestasis. But relatively calm about that as the hospital are doing what they need to.

I am looking forward to buying baby things though, been looking online lots!

Hi hi :)

Sastra good luck with the move!

Yes yes to a meet somewhere Grin

From next Friday, I'll be working from home - I work in web so I guess I can be anywhere really. Then after the Olympics, being around 8 months and as I'm working up to the 5th October (due 16th) I'll just continue working from home. I am really hoping this convinces my Luddite of a boss to allow permanent homeworking once I return from ML.

I'm not doing a class Londonmrs, just got the book and the CD so much like you. I keep thinking it seems so close, and then realise for everyone else 10-13 weeks is a really long time.
