Hi All,

I'm 21 weeks 6 days .I'm suffering really bad with heart burn. I've tried Rennie and sipping milk but nothing seems to ease it.
Anyone else suffering/suffered any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance x

Try avoiding fried food and also do not lie down immediately after meal.

Yes, please help! Am 38 weeks pregnant and have also been suffering, for the last 8 weeks. Have tried everything with no joy, even eating my main meal at 4 in the afternoon with nothing but water for the rest of the day but still get really bad heartburn in the night, so much so am only getting 2 hours sleep at the moment - midwife was no help, when I asked her what I should do, she said the only cure was having the baby. I'm also suffering very badly with heartburn and am late on this thread! I am also only getting a couple of hours sleep a night while propped up on dozens of pillows! I do think sugar and fat has a lot to do with it but can't cut it all out! Haven't tried gaviscon, bit worried it'll make me sick, and would prefer heartburn to throwing up!

Hi All

Gaviscon was a god send to me, kept it by the bed and had a swig every time I woke up in the night.

I found cold milk was great for relieving heartburn.

I will say again lol RANITADINE , only thing that works for me. Get it on prescription 150mg.
