Hi all I'm a 1st time mum with a 9 mnth old baby boy and he lov3s other children iv been meaning to find mother and baby groups or just try and meet mums in my area near my age or older I'm from crayford but drive can anyone help please :-) xx

Don't know of anything actually in Crayford, but there used to be (don't know if it's still running) a playgroup on Fridays at Christ Church in Erith. Also one at St Pauls in North Heath, which I think is on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, and was really friendly when I went. I'll have a look and see if I can find contact details, if you like.

OK here's the number for the church administrator in St Pauls North Heath - the group's not running at present but is due to restart - they should be able to tell you when 01322 336505.
Can't find a number for the Erith one, but I do know it was listed on Netmums.
By the way, have you tried your local Sure Start centre? There's loads of them round Erith/Crayford, including one on Iron Mill Lane in Crayford, and the tel number for that's 01322 523232. They usually have loads on. Libraries too. Crayford Library has toddlertime on Thursday mornings at 9.50.

Also (I will shut up in a minute, I promise!) have you spoken to your HV? Mine booked me onto a course designed for first time mothers - covered infant first aid, dental care, etc over 3 or 4 sessions. I made some good friends that way.

Yeah they certainly used to do stuff like that. I live near Erith, so probably not under the same HV team as you, but it's definitely worth asking if they still do it. By the way, I've just had a look on the Bexley pages of Netmums and there's definitely a toddler group listed at the sure start centre in Crayford. Listings for things on there are here but prob worth ringing to check that's up to date.
