Millie Jane Anderson was born at 5.56pm on 2.3.05 i day late! weighing in at 7lb 10oz

I had a lightning speed active stage, all of 55 mins and yes it did hurt but managed with only G&A. She was born in the birth pool and caused havoc cause no one was expecting such a fast entry, went from 5cm to 10 in 30 mins with only 15 mins of pushing, I was in denial or else it would have been even faster!!

I had quite a long 1st stage as was niggly for 2 days before, had waters broken at 11.30 and then only mild contractions til 5pm when i got in the pool at 5cms so we were all shocked at the actual speed of the 2nd stage, even the m/w's were taken unawares, must have been the water that made it go so quick, had back to back contractions with no let up and only the gas for pain releif!

I Went into shock after delivery cause of the speed and pain so could not hold Millie for about 20 mins but she was given to me as soon as i stopped shaking and was hit like a steam train with the rush and am still feeling a like it

She is absolutly wonderful and is feeding well, sleeping all day and feeding all night, typical!!!

The milk has come in and my boobs are HUGE but madam drops off like she has been drugged everytime she feeds so this needs some work

So wonderful reading this - though that does sound rather shockingly fast. My mum said she was traumatised by having my brother in under 3 hours, so I can't imagine how you must have felt at Millie shooting out at such speed. Especially after all those days of 'will she won't she go into labour!'

It's brilliant brilliant news. Hope my (now non-leaking ) birth pool has a similar effect when I finally get to use it, and I get to join you soon in the March babies gang.
