Hi ladies nad gents!!,- Well here goes!!!

My waters broke at 10pm, contractions coming every 8 mins or so- hovered for a short while and thought i would get some rest- went to bed, for about an hour- got up as contractions were every 6 mins and getting painfull- had urge to go to the loo- went into bathroom and had to call DH as i could feel baby crowning- at one point i was pooing(sorry TMI) and vomiting into the bin, and trying not to push at the same time!!!DH called my mum and sister then delivery as i could not speak- contractions now every 3 mins and no real break from them

Delivery suite told DH to call an ambulance and they would send out cmw as this baby is not going to wait!!!!

Eventually managed to get back to my bed where i sat and breathed through my pains which were by now continous! All the while i am on the line to midwife on delivery suit- the pain was bad!!! but i managed- fighting the urge to push was the hardest part!!!shock

by now mum had arrived and she was great support for DH and me!!!

Paramedics arrived shortly followed by MW who examinied me and i was 8 cm- just a rim left apparently!!!

She decided as i live so close to hospital we should attempt to get there, paramedics were worried but i got myself out to the ambulance, was wheeled onto delivery at -2-45 am and Rosie was pushed into the world at 3-30 am!!! all well, i haven't torn, bp was fine, baby fit and healthy, weighed 7lb12.5oz, head circumference 33cm, 50cm long!!!(DS only 5lb8 45cm long 3 yrs ago!!!)

I am bottle feeding and she fed well, was moved to ward at about 9am, was discharged at 1pm, all well, glad to be home, DS is absolutly besottd by Rosie. She is contented and absolutley gorgeous!!!!

Well thats it for my story, it could not have been better- coped with just gas and air, no intervention at all, MW let my body do what it had to, and i can honestly say i enjoyed every minute of it!!!although did not think it at the time!!grin Just shows after all the worry and stressrom doctors, i had a great delivery with no problems.

Rosie has settled into family life very well, we are all absolutly besotted by her, she is a dream at the moment,

Thanks for reading my birth anouncement,

Well done and congrats to all those who have had their babies and good luck to all those of you still waiting!!!
