My gorgeous baby boy, Luca, arrived yesterday at 9.48am after a speedy 2 and a bit hour labour!! 7lb 11oz.
My waters broke at about 5.45am and I got to hospital at about 8. Had mild contractions from half seven, then severely from half eight. I asked for the gas and air and so they examined me, when I was told I was fully dilated and ready to have the baby! Result!
It was more painful than I remember but can't compain as I did not tear and didn't need any stitches.
We were home by tea time yesterday afternoon and had the family round for champers. A brilliant day all round and I feel thoroughly pleased with myself!
DD in awe of Luca, shes been so good with him and she slept all night even when baby was testing his lungs!! Hes feeding well, every hour and a half til 3.30am and then he left me alone til 7.30am, which can't be bad!!
I am so grateful to the doctor who managed to turn Luca a couple of weeks ago from the breech position he had been in for the previous 7 weeks! Without that I would have had to have a c-section and would still be laid up now, not feeling fab as I do!!
