How did you tell your partner you are pregnant? I was so shocked the first time around that I just threw the test at him. This time I'd like to make a bit of an effort as it's going to be the last time. So give me your ideas. Thank you! X

CONGRATULATIONS!!

There are so many different ways now'a days to announce a pregnancy.

You can get some amazing cards that have a scratch card effect on the front which lets the other party know the news.
Also you can get hold of personalised babygrows which is also a lovely idea.

Do you have any other children?

First time I sat on the toilet and he waited on the bed while I peed. The. He said "should we wait to look at it together" but before he got the whole sentence out a line had appeared and I was like ITS POSITIVE! Lol
Then second time just a couple months ago I handed the test to my son and told him to take it to daddy :)

I like simple, quick rather than a big show/thought out/planned thing.

Congratulations!

I told him I wasn't feeling too well, that I was late...and then a few days later sent a picture of the positive test (I hadn't tested until that point so wasn't sure myself).

I just played hide and seek with the test, I hadn't even looked at the test yet as he wanted to know at the same time as me so before I knew I hid it and he found it, he bloody looked at the test before I did and hugged me, I still didn't know what the results was and wondered why he hugged me hahaha! It was positive.

Congratulations!

When I told my husband I was pregnant, he was at work at the time. I thought I had a tummy bug so only took the test because I was about to call the doctor. I was so excited to find out I practically ran to the shops, bought hubby a "I love my daddy so much" babygrow, beer and chocolates and wrapped them all up with the pregnancy test. I gave it to him and said "I know you've had a hard time lately so thought this would cheer you up". After a confused few seconds he saw the test and burst out crying! It was so fun to surprise him like that and see the happiness on his face. Maybe try something cheeky/simple or play a hide and seek game at home? Be creative why not! Or just simply tell him haha it's totally up to you.

I got my daughter to make him a card that said 'I'm so lucky to have a daddy like you, I've decided to share you with someone new'
She was only 2 so it was just a folded bit of card that I wrote on and she stuck stickers and did some colouring on 😅 but it did the job!

Just say, "I'm pregnant." Anything else is incredibly tacky.
