Joining a pregnancy facebook group - dog grooming

So I joined a Facebook group that is relevant to the type of business I run (I'm a dog groomer), so I could post, comment and ask for advice about working through my pregnancy. It's a job that can be quite tough on the body at times so I'd really appreciate others advice that have been through it.

I haven't posted on the group yet as I can see another dog groomer is on the page from my area and unfortunately she has a bit of a reputation for putting down other pet-related businesses to help hers succeed.

Do I block her and risk her bad mouthing me for blocking her or do I contact her and ask her not to say anything, also risking her bad mouthing me and telling people that I'm pregnant?

I'm only 6 weeks and not ready for my customers to know but I would like to get advice on certain aspects of my job to make sure I'm working safely for the baby.

Thank you Star

I would interested to know the group please do I can join if you don't mind sharing.

I wouldn't comment in there until you're further along. I'm only 7 weeks so wouldn't want to risk my customers or other local groomers finding out yet.

I'm not I'm even happy to join the group if other members can see you in there.

Fortunately there are two of us so our salon disruption will be minimal apart from when baby actually arrives.

I'm pleased we are closed now for lockdown during these early weeks, can't begin to imagine grooming closer to the end!

I would ask a friend from elsewhere in the country to ask the question.
