Sex reveal Christmas Present

Hi ☺️
I'm pregnant with my first baby, and we would like to do a sex reveal at Christmas for our family. Trying to think of something nice as a part of Christmas present or just part of Christmas.
My mum is also on the other side of the world (NZ) and I would love to send her a little something too, to keep her part of everything.

please no comments of "no one cares"! My family does, and this is for our first child so we are super excited. I would really appreciate no "Negative Nancy's" on my post!! Please and thank you!!

Oh my god so I'll be finding out the sex just before Christmas too and this is exactly what I want to do haha!

Bl0ndi3 · 15/09/2020 22:43

Normally we always go to my dads house and open presents as a family and my dad makes us open them like one at a time so we all watch each other hahaha so I'm thinking of maybe having my dad open a present from me and it will have something inside to tell him the sex and everyone will see

My OH hates gender reveal parties and anything super OTT but maybe a mini balloon that bursts out when he opens a box or something 😂😂

A Christmas card saying
Dear grandpa/grandma
Happy Christmas
Love from your granddaughter/grandson

You could have something made personalised even if it's just a baby grow that says it's a girl or something to send to your mum to keep postage costs down haha and include a few little bits with it or something.

At home in UK you can go as big and as bold as you want I guess. The place I get private scans at so gender reveal cannons 😂

I’ve seen adverts before for cards/boxes that propel confetti out when you open them. Maybe one of those with pink/blue confetti. Will try to find a link to an example!

The company I was thinking of is called ‘boomf’

Seeleyboo · 15/09/2020 22:59

We gave out gender scratch cards.

Bl0ndi3 · 15/09/2020 23:01

@2Kidsinatrenchcoat I was just looking at boomf and it's probably what I'll do simple but effective can make your own card so could put a scan picture on the front and then there's blue or pink confetti you can choose etc 🥰

That sounds like a cool idea!! I think I might do something like that :) We came up with another idea recently, might see if we can get personalised smarties as we call our little one smartie as it was as big as a smartie when we found out we were pregnant

Yea we normally do one by one presents too, so that's why I wasn't sure how to do it

We're also thinking about doing a Christmas gender reveal as we're not wanting anything big. Currently I think I'm going with giving family members a bauble in the relevant colour. That way its also something they can keep and hang on the tree each year.

I love this!! I’m announcing my pregnancy on Christmas Day and I can’t wait!

What about Christmas crackers? Make enough for everyone, put white in them all apart from
pink/blue in one and see who gets it! X
