And I am so in love with him! Had a beautiful little boy - well, not so little at 9lb 2. Had very good labour - 5 hours, waters staying intact till 15 mins before delivery (he has avoided having to have antibiotics for Strep B, they just monitored him for 24 hours). I got one dose of IV antibios in 3 hours before.
Arduous pushing stage - hard work and his shoulders stuck. Scary but midwives threw my legs over shoulders and wiggled him out. Thank God he was fine. Managed it all with no pain relief - my doula and husband and midwife were`all FANTASTIC. He's feeding well and I am so happy. Never doing it again though!

dinny I'm so so pleased that you had a good labour. Many congratulations!

Thanks so much everyone. We have called him Edward (Ned) Rollo and he was born at 4.20 am on 7th September (due on the 5th).
He is so gorgeous - I am totally bowled over. Breastfeeding is going well - he is such a boob man! Hardly dare believe it is going so well. Feeds all the time - I love it.
