Luke Andrew arrived safely by c-section at 11.51am fri 29th June. He weighed 9lb 1 and 3/4oz, 52cm long and let the entire theatre staff know he was not impressed to be out by keeping up a steady cry from the min he appeared until we got through to recovery.

We came home yesterday at 4.30pm and are doing well despite feeling sore etc. Feeding nicely and very fast compared with how his big sister. Dd is just delighted with him and is giving him lots of kisses and cuddles, great at bringing a whole host of bears when he cries.

Will post a bit more at a later point when I've got the energy. Thanks to everyone who posted on the arnica thing - forgot about the thread as ended taking hours on the thurs to get booked in and home again but think will send dh out for some and start taking in next 24hrs - can only help.

Congratulations, Twiga. Glad he didn't keep you waiting as long as DD did.

Thanks for all the lovely messages. It's been a great first week at home and fab to have dh around too. Luke is doing grand and was just a few grams off having regained his birth weight back on saturday which has been reassuring on a feeding front - still can't believe how speedy he is - he also has tongue tie so that's made latching slighty harder.

Tongue tie does seem to be gradually resolving, it's pretty flimsy so very active crying etc seems to be gradually breaking it. We have a scan appt through regarding Luke's kidneys for the 20th - nappies etc seem to be fine so fairly sure things will show up normal enough - he's on a once a day anti-biotic to prevent uti's just in case til then.

Dd still head over heels with out new arrival and is steadily warming to me again - I've been in the dog house for having disapeared for a few days and also not being able to lift her due to the section. My mum arrives fri for a few days so dh returning to work will be less of a shock on monday and we're then on holiday after that so really breaking into it all gently and should be well rested etc by the time dh starts new job at begin of August (he may have to commute for a couple of weeks at weekends until house sales etc go through).

Once dh and dd get back from their walk I'll see if we can figure out how to get some pics up on my profile to show you. Take care x
