How to tell family in another country?

Hi all,
I'm currently pregnant with my first child and I'm so excited! There are so many questions going through my mind every day, and I've recently discovered Mumsnet!!

I don't know how far gone I am at the moment as I missed a period (which is normal as I am quite irregular)
Anyway, my midwife thinks I am 12 weeks and I am so eager to let my Auntie know! The only thing is, she lives in Jersey, so I probably won't see her until next summer, which is when I'm due.
I just wondered if anybody has had a similar experience and how you announced it?? Or if not, any ideas on how I can tell her?

Thanks in advance! Xx

It would be some lovely news to put in a Christmas card if you haven't already sent one.

Pick up the phone and call her.

This is the best way to share lovely personal news. It really does mean so much more to hear it in person.

Congratulations!

How funny! I have an aunt in jersey too!! I will probably just video call her or send a card with the scan in for her to open on video call but I'm early days atm so not given it much thought lol x
